Offline > Online editing

I don't know what the big push for online editing is about...something to quickly fix tile errors maybe but meh.

I heard updateboard2 is set on a timer as well, and takes a little time to update... so ya, that doesn't sound fun. It would be nice to switch between an editing mode(full tile editing with all tools of the offline editor, and NPC editing), and play mode, but I doubt that'll happen any time soon. Anything less seems like a burden.

As for if it's possible, apparently they're ridding of offline editing, and there will be an online client editor, much like Client-RC... but that's all I know. It is possible to script your own little editor right now, with updateboard2.

I would think it would be, some server had a online editor where you could basically drop tiles....It sucked hardcore though. Online editing would be horrible not to mention it useless. Off line you can make levels when your internet is out in a storm or whatever but online you cant. But what am I worrying about its not like Stefan is going to code one anytime soon its probably coming with the Graal Kingdoms updates ;)

N-Pulse has an online level editor

I made my own online editor that edited .nw files directly (rather then touching the level you were in). It was a lot more versatile then the offline editor and allowed you to save files online too. Sadly, I haven't finished it yet and I stopped working on it...
