A question for Stefan I guess
 

I guess this is really a question of curiosity. But eh, anyways.
I was really wondering, who did the original tileset for Graal. The first one used(not Zelda Online). I acknowledge that it really doesn't help since I/we probably won't recognize him, but you never know.

Pics1, yes, but the original pics1. Not the one currently being used, the one where the tree's were green and olive colored, with no leaves, segmented and such.

I believe it was Stefan. *shrugs* It goes back to ZeldaOnline, and if it was Pachuka it woulda been deleted rather than slowly replaced.

But then we get into questions of What defines "Made" pics1? Clearly Stefan had to have made Some sort of pics1 for Graal to have ever existed...if half of it was player submitted, is it still Made by Stefan or is it Made by Players?

The original pics1.png has been made by me. Later people made lava tiles (which I had to modify a lot to fit), then it took some time until Graal2001 when several new tiles have been added (mainly from Antago). Also the grass tiles have been changed to not look plain green, konidias made the new house tiles (when I remember correctly).

Also, looking back at the tiles, I can't see any real difference in the grass tiles.

So since you made the tileset(and I take it, the shield), another question, what do the Kanji symbols on the blocks, library sign, and shield stand for?

Since we are on the subject of Graal's beginning. Stefan would you like to explain to me how you got the tileset from Zelda? Did you use a mod? I never really heard the full story on Graal's "Birth"

I guess either manually, or from a ROM dump or something like that.

Stefan should make a Wikipedia article detailing the history of Graal. =P

After what happened with the last wiki article about Graal using 'Graal' and 'Wikipedia' in the same sentence is probably a no-go. >_<

Why is that?

The Graal Wikipedia Battle was a part of one of the four great showdowns in Graal Forum history (The other 3 being the Kaishock Crisis, Anime Image Wars and Ruby Rose Forum War). It's so hardcore that there's pretty much nothing about it that we're allowed to say.

The forces of awesome face off against the forces of moderation in an ultimate showdown except that it isn't ultimate because Aftershock's face rips in half after glancing at Kaimetsu.

All it showed was that apparently not even a Super Mod at the time could best Kaimetsu. >_> Quite weird really.

No, I know about the Kaishock Crisis, I don't know about those other events though...

Ruby Rose Forum War - Huge battle breaks out. Alkaren tries to stop it. We stick it to Alkaren. Result: Victory for the forces of awesome.

Anime Image Wars - Konidias tells Kamuii that he can't have girls in underwear in his sig even though Sigla can. Showdown ensues. Discussion of imported gluesticks is involved somehow. In the end, we force Konidias to change his avatar. Result: Draw.

Kaishock Crisis - Already explained. Result: Victory for the forces of awesome.

Fourth Showdown - Some stuff related to 2K2 happens. As a result, battle ensues. Forum userbase isn't large enough to be a powerful force so the forces of awesome try some innovative strategies that fail hard. Fight spills over into Wikipedia. Also, Zormite ranks get hijacked. Result: Victory for the forces of moderation.

He should still make a detailed history of Graal, though.

The text on the Samurai houses on kingdoms means something, but I don't know what right now.

When is Graals Birthday? On this momentous day a party should be held on Classic. Amidst the festivities and story telling of days long past, 'A history of graal' should be presented, possibly delivered by Stefan himself :D.

Yeah, I dunno what Stefan did =0. I guess it was based too much on Zelda. It's alot better now :).

I remember the good old days of Zelda online back when Classic was the only server :D And there were only like 100 accounts made on graal. I claim myself to be the original gani god of Graal XD

No it's not. Only the trees are nicer, but it looked better before.
