I've been working on a new fighter sprite of proper proportions. Crits. It's a work in progress.

Great start, his feet positioning are kind of weird, and his head is large.

Gracias, it's still very WIPy and I'll be majorly editing the arms which I'm currently working on before I continue on.

Hmm, the stance looks a bit stiff for a fighter. Maybe have his legs bending slightly, and him crouching over. Not a lot, but slightly enough so that he looks like he's in a 'fighters' stance.

Tried to put him in a more battle ready, tense stance. I originally wanted I somewhat lax stance for him but, oh well. In any case, worked on the right hand some. Got a few stray pixels and such fixing that up and working on the left hand. Try to angle the right arm down some more and bring the arm closer to the body.

His feat looks pretty effed.

Awkward.

Ok I do not want to point this out and I am being serious but those are some tight pants.

Crono 06-04-2007 04:49 AM

too much detail for the crotch

It's one highlight and one shadow? ??? I don't really see the detail. Besides they're supposed to be sorta tightish.

I think the shading on the legs shows light-source, but does not define the anatomy well enough. I assume he has tight pants on, but even so, it looks more like bubbles in his legs than muscles. You might want to look up some STRONG men, not to mimic their muscles, but because they usually have the best defined muscles for reference. Also, I think his right(our left) foot needs to be facing us, it looks really weird as it is now. Actually, perhaps even both feet should face more towards us, as his whole body is nearly facing that direction.

Id listen to what they said on pixelation, and if you don't understand why they are telling you to do something, you should ask why.

Before you go any farther, how about putting some focus on the basics. His feat are still pretty effed up and his legs need to be extended(ex. on pixelation from some guy).

No, I decided to bookmark pixelation, and pixeljoint because I hear people talking about those two sites quite a bit around here. No need for me to actually join since I don't do pixel art or any art to speak of.

I just bumped into your stuff while looking and read what people were saying. Really good artist around those sites, I doubt theyd be to interested in graal though.
