Ok, so I'm on and looking at all the people with super high kills and I think to myself "This is incredibly stupid, what happened to the people with REAL skills who used to own these lists" and then it came to me, why not bring it back, but first we need to get rid of these kills so do a list wipe all lists except for XP, then I thought well now that this is done what about the people who should be up on the lists, so why not have everyone vote on 3 people they want on the lists who will automatically start at different kills on the list so say Stefan wipes the list then we go take a peek on the Apprices list:
Place 1: Ace 10,000 kills Place 2: StormY 9,000 kills Place 3:FireBoX 8,000 kills
(Names are up for arguements sake don't spaz)
Whenever someone beats out the 3rd place they get 3000, beats out the second place they get 4000, beats out the first place they get 5,000.
Then I thought, what about all those piece of crap people that just lame, and lame for days straight like xAzerothx and then I though why not limit the number of kills with any given weapon to 300 a day (except for events).
This is mine idear, love it, or die.

Yeah, it sucks. I've currently got 17,000 appirces kill. I would kill whoever removed those to get back to 17,000+.

Err...anubis...something like...17k kills. Thats amazing. You can be proud of that. You shouldn't just reset it x-x

Then why not just make 2 things, one that starts over again and another that just keeps going up, this way people can still strive for the goal of capping another 10k kills and still have their old scores.

It's really pointless though...

If you want to strive for something then just strive for the current high scores.

I just read this because I read only my account name and knew you were going to say something againest me. 300 kills a day? I could probably still lame enough. If you can remember the person for being good then you don't need them on the boards. I don't think people want all of their kills erased either.

Secondly, I'm not wanting to get to the top of the boards, I'm trying to give people a glance into the oldbies past and make them know what the heros of the past were like.
Azeroth may be the hero of today, but what about our heros! They'll be drowned out, that's why I thought of this idea, so screw you if you can only see the bare minimum of this idea.

I'd like it if the Zone people knew the proud people that once walked Zone but they're almost all erased.
Also, the idea was also an idea for a goal for people to reach and a reward that follows, currently there is no reward system except for winning events and we should really instigate some more.

My god, I'm tired of seeing that "stop posting here" crap. You're ****ty "lololollets erase scoreboards so I can get onto them!!!" idea is contradictory to your "ZOMFG where my oldb's @???!!!". If you erased the scoreboards the oldbie's would be gone from them too. In short, the scoreboards aren't being reset, stop *****ing about not being able to get on.

ok so your saying they get money? This is a stupid idea anyway. I don't want all of my hard work to go to waste just because you want to see some oldbies name... and if you can only get 300 kills with one weapon for some stupid reason no one would play zone...

The oldbies are ALL gone from the boards now anyways, I could care less about who has the high scores with any weapon, the fact is you guys are SO self absorbed with your kills that anyone that says "Zomg reset the scores" you think it's a personal attack against you. I have 11k kills, I'm #5 on the list, I'd be giving up all my kills to but I don't give a **** because kills are a bunch of pixels.
Only thing I have against you xAzerothx is that you come out of nowhere and get to the top list of kills with every weapon.
Also I expected critisism, just not the kind of critisism that says "Zomfg this idea sucks, you suck GTFO", a simple "I don't like this idea because, giving up all of my kills isn't worth remembering the true 'good' people of Zone".
So Typhoon before you yell and cuss at me, look at what you're doing and realise you are NO better then me.

Anubis I don't want a reset because I see no need for one. I also don't want to give up my work. I don't think its a personal attack but I don't see any real reason for it. I don't want to have to get all the kills I have back again.

Ok, fine with me. Typhoon saw my suggestion as a personal attack against his scores. It wasn't an attack on any one, it's the fact of how I used to be told "FireBoX was one of the best, ThundaBoX was one of the best Silos, Siwin, etc." Those people aren't going to exist anymore once the "Oldbies" quit. I guess I just though people would want their heros of old to be remembered.

They can remember their heroes on their own, if they are that important to them. Oldbies quit because they get bored with little or no competition. The truth is the oldbies would be gone either way. Sometimes you just have to let it go. Typhoon saw it as a personal attack because he has put a hugeamount of effort into playing and that would be unfair to him.

Hm, how's this for an idea then, why not instead of wiping kills since people consider it a personal attack against them.
I still would like the idea of being able to get rewards for kills, so why not make some sort of vendor person that when you come up and talk to him he asks you to select a weapon, depending on the kills you have he will either say "You are very experienced with this weapon" and give you a gift or say "You still have work to do". These rewards can be random so, anywhere from money to ammo to some med pacs. Seeing as how events are the only way to win something, I'm thinking that maybe you can get a reward from getting kills.
Since Typhoid has so many kills with apprices, I'll use him as an example.
Typhoid walks up to the vendor
The vendor says "Select a weapon"
Typhoid picks Apprices
The vendor says "Wow, you are very skilled with this weapon"
Typhoid then recieves 4000 money
Typhoid tries to take advantage of this hoping there is a glitch
The Vendor says "Sorry I have already rated your skill with that weapon"
Feeling defeated Typhoon walks away heavy hearted

obviously you want to explain your point. Please do so in a way that we can understand it and please put substantial evidence as to why it is a good idea.

It's not a good idea, it was an idea, my main idea is that I want a reward system or something in place.

Think about it If my reading of your first post is correct. Someone is first on a highscore and then the other person is second. Hey lets switch it back and forth so we get tons of money!

Whatever this idea is, If it invovles wipping scores away forget it, I am finally No.13 with Appirces, I am not going to throw it all away!

Hm, that's not how it works, it's supposed to be every time you get X amount of kills with a weapon you get X amount of money. Say mortar, for every 500 kills you get, you get 1000 money. Say Apprices every 5000 kills you get, you get 2000 money.

This idea sucks, A Nooby's Wing. Then all the people who worked hard for comebacks and ****, like me, would have to work hard again. This idea is the same as your nickname :)

The scoreboards aren't going to be erased. Good people are remembered through others using their name. That's how FireBoX, Siwin, Ace and Storm are remembered. If you beat the names of those good into their brains through those bullets they will remember you and those that you remembered.

This thread has gone on long enough. It is just people flaming and bashing each other about how they play on Zone, what their account names are and what people have against xAzerothx. Oldbies are called oldbies for a reason. Their time is up and if they were true legends they will live on without the help of some "Stats wipe".
