Save Password for RC?

So, when are you guys (Stefan) going to make it so accounts/password gets saved on RC? I, for one, use more then one account for RC, and it gets bloody annoying to retype the password for the accounts everytime I change account.

Thats a perfect idea.
I have the same problem
This is really annoying :S

If you only use ONE account, yes.

Mines doesn't save at all, not on my client either. It resets whenever I turn off my computer. Seems like it's only when you have had old versions on Graal on the computer, because if I install it on a fresh computer it doesn't have that problem. Wish it'd get fixed :(

Mine saves multiple accounts. All i have to do is change the account name, and the password changes to match the account. Im sure that's a windows password saving feature.

Well it shouldn't be hard for them to do seeing that the forums do that already. Or thats just my psp doing that xD

Only problem with that is if someone finds out your password it is saved to their computer there would have to be like a time limit you know where it only saves the password for a certain time length. That is just one thought of being safe, it's more nonsense to do it but safety first! lol

DustyPorViva 05-15-2007 10:15 PM

Forums doing it is cookies/browser. The only control over that they have is changing the configuration for the forums.

Should be moved to future improvements.

I second this.

This would be nice. As for time-length, just MD5 encode it. If someone got spyware on your computer, they could already get your saved client password. Or maybe you have to type a master password any time you switch.

^-- totally ignore this because it is a retarded statement.

Anyway:
They could use the same method they do for the Graal client (even though, i am pretty sure the RC is still in Delphi -- maybe RC2 is in C++)

Secure, and not as easy to 'crack' because 8 white-spaces are nothing.

Personally if we were allowed to make our OWN passwords I wouldn't mind typing it in ;)

DustyPorViva 05-18-2007 02:03 PM

Ya, it's pretty dumb we can't have our own passwords. It should be our own responsibility to protect our passwords and everyone else seems to understand that, and it's not like Graal still goes without passwords getting stolen anyways.
