New server idea (again yes lol sorry)
 

Well me and my IRL friend had this idea to make a roleplaying world like that small Island that was made during the Flood on Valikorlia.

For the people who never play Val this were the basics (If I recall correctly):

Everyone would be able to do what they could with the items they brought from the flood and the people they grouped up with.
The staff was basically working on the players whims as long as it would be RP logical. On Val it was (IMHO) quite corrupt because of the staff members who only approved their idea's.

Well anyway.
My (Or me and my friend's) server would be like that but then much bigger and with 3 NPC nations to make a solid base. 2 "good" nations and one "evil"
Along with lots of different races this would mean total freedom for the player to actually play a RP land where they CAN make a difference instead of playing in a world where only the BIG events can make a difference.

It requires a huge overworld i know that but in the end i think it will be awesome to do.

So...what do you guys think?

It's really hard to get keep big projects going, since you don't get paid you really don't have a reason to make it besides for fun, after a while it will get really repetive.

If it could be done, It would be nice. But roleplay on graal? Unless you wanna ban 90% of the graalian players, you won't have a roleplaying server.

What you could do is make a 3rd or 4th nation thats just for pure pking that way you can have the rpers and the pkers.

Well, let's see...I sized him up I did and made an assumption based on what I saw. Assumptions can be wrong or otherwise right...if I am wrong, let me be so. And if I am right, let me be so...Now that would beg the question....

Pimmeh, have you ever been staff on any server besides an ET, GP, or FAQ?

The thing is that on Lost Island after the flood, no one really did anything.

Whenever there was an event, people'd RP; but the events were weird and stupid. Spawns of Corruption, dragons, etc. - just stuff that doesn't happen on regular Val. Without towns and junk, the RP was extremely limited.

Role playing servers only need three things:
1) Levels
2) Basic scripts.
3) A mind.

Actually I've been playing a long time but this is just my first account that I paid for myself :p.

Yes I've been LAT on several servers including Keyruun and Shogun Online, as well as much other underconstruction servers. Most of the time the server I worked on shut down because of inactivity from staff.

Since I can level and I'm trying to learn GS2 now I think it will work out.
Especially since I've got my most hours in Val.

A 4th PKing nation... If I'd wanna do that it would be like Clash once said:
"If UN shut down I'd make a mini UN to keep the players busy."
But it would require a different Gmap and a much more limited one to keep the attention to the RPing.

And about the time i have to put in it. Thats allright... I love to RP and level things.

The RP was limited yes I know. Thats why i was planning the NPC nations...Well not really NPC but for the beginning of it.
I'd want a decent playerbase so we got a 1:1 or maybe 1.5:1 scale of players with the Good and Evil alignment so we can actually keep on doing RP wars, which i think were far too many of in Val.

I realize this project would take a lot of time but im actually already working on that and the story for about a year since past October and I think we'll do fine.

Okay so you've never been LAT on any of the current / past overworlds that were on the classictab?

Nope I'd have to admit that.
But trough dedication and some goodwill I think I can make this work.

But, more importantly, will it work? This idea? Would we be able to attract players if we would reach the classic or hosted tab?

I've written a concept for the server and I'd like you guys' opinions.

Stan stop acting like a big shot. You're graphics aren't that great and you are usually associated with other people's work I.E Stone Henge. This is like the 5th playerworld thread that you've had to make a stupid comment in. Shut up. :\

But guys...You think that if I'd were the best LAT in the world (Hypothetically) would it snatch the players away from other servers?
