Edit Post
In my opinion, the duration of which you can edit your post should be increased. When I make a hiring thread, server information thread, or even release a new script - I would like to be able to edit my original post with the new information. Right now, I can't, and it sucks.
|
They don't like too since you could edit old posts and make them say nasty things.

You can also modify that option ONLY for the 'Playerworld Staff Openings' forum if they want to, so that makes it easier..
|
's a good idea, Playerworld Staff Openings.
Or First Posts; I've wanted to revise the header on a few threads I've made...the discussion evolves and I want the Introduction to reflect that as succinctly as possible. |
Maybe code gallery in NPC Scripting aswell.
|
To be honest, the forums aren't that active, 7 days isn't that much. I think the forums should be coded so that any posts edited are bumped up or something of the like. Or if the first post is.

Why are you so worried about inappropriate stuff being posted now when there's still a ton of smut from years past from before all of the new rules that can be found as simply as searching or just browsing for a while?
Also, playerworld owners should be able to edit hiring threads or whatever they have in support of their playerworld. They paid $60 for it and should get some benefits. :( |

No, plain and simply: the owner of this forum set these rules, and he don't need to specify a reason for any rule. Fact.
Don't start a new rule discussion here please. |
No, he doesn't... but I guess that makes players happy, huh.
It is how it is and there's no other way because I said so. And we all jump for joy. I don't know why they're so scared of criticism as if one thing that challenges their opinion is going to send everyone into a riot and Graal goes out of business. I've never seen a forum so strict. I've been to other forums for other games that are more active, yet there is nothing inappropriate posted. And if there is the moderators do their job. I mean seriously, no editing allowed, no external links. You'd think they'd realize it's killing the experience. I can understand no discussing bans because there'd be craploads of posts about who got banned for what, but not being able to discuss rules is dumb. What's so wrong about someone's opinions about the rules, why don't they want to hear them? |
That fella didn't need to chop my sentence in half and take it totally out of context. :(
In short, they should raise the age limit of Graal or get rid of it completely. They may moderate the forum but there's no stopping someone from logging on a playerworld and being as profane as they wish. I would never let my 13 year old play Graal. I don't see as many rude people on the forums as there is on Graal. Even with a swear filter, you still get the gist and context of what they're spouting. x_x |
My opinion?
It's dumb that we try and treat Graal like a single cohesive game anymore. If they wanna say 13+ for Kingdoms, cool. If they wanna say no swearing or mentioning the subject of Godwin's Law on the Kingdoms forum, fine. But what if I have an Indiana Jones server? Who does he beat the everloving crap out of if not...Those Who Burn All Books But Mein Kampf? It's silly...and if the hypothetical server IndyJones came out of UC on a tuesday, how long would it take to get its own forum here? Would it even be entitled to one? If not, why not? Moreover, how long would it take to get a place on graalonline.com's navbar? It's abysmally asymetrical up in here. Kingdoms gets top billing on the official Graal website, its own set of forums on the official communication center, and it's the background artwork for the EXE. Not Zone, not Classic, certainly not UN - it's Kingdoms' game, and we're all along for the ride. If a rule is made on Kingdoms, it echoes through the forum, through the official website, through every PW's front door, like it or not. Thing is, I'm not even opposed to Graal having a signature central server. Just Kingdoms ain't it. Kingdoms is as far from the Common Ground as you can get - it looks nothing like the other servers ('cept a little like Zone), plays nothing like the other servers, and only the high rollers get to play there...so why is that the boot screen? Why is that the SBEmail menu of Graal? If they're gonna declare a common ground, make it something truly universal - either a neutral new Hubworld server where ghosts and trials and newbies are as free as Gold VIPs, or do something well and truly clever that'll be iconically Graal the way Classic used to be. Then you can advertise for Kingdoms all you want on it, or Graal3D, or Fairyland, or whatever the Best Foot Forward is of the week. I'd love to see Graal so distributed that someone makes a miniserver that's entirely lockon technology. Like their entire server is Restaurant Tycoon, and the only point to it is that their money transfers to the global economy...then I make a Dungeon miniserver, and the fullheart at the end transfers to all the other Miniserver worlds...and it doesn't really matter if you're a Zonite or a Kingdomer, you still go to BurgerRefuge to make some quick cash and SparringZone to settle your differences... |
