I actually bought that in-store earlier, and I'm not sure what it does or how to use it.

If you find an items in the HH or alchemy some armour you have to use that spell to see it's stats.

Yeah, it basicly stops you from equiping cursed items, and finding out if the items have -/+ stats.

If an item is of woe or mass or great mass they will be cursed, But if you want to use that weapon/armours just mark it and cast Cancellation.

the valuer of the items also increase after IDentify
