Images folder?
1 Attachment(s)
In Graal/levels/images
it has seperate folders for each image, which is quite annoying to me! Is there anyways to enable/disable folders for each image in the images folder? It never used to be like this :( |
I believe it was to help playerworlds keep their images organized, but was never used properly. If I remember rightly, it creates a folder for each file that has an underscore it in, making whatever is before the underscore a directory. IE: dusty_tileset.png becomes images/dusty/dusty_tileset.png
No way to turn it off though. Instead of having a folder full of thousands of disorganized images, we get that plus a crapload of pointless folders. |
Lame :/

Would work better if people did playerworldname_type_imagename.whatever
|
The whole new structure just sucks in my opinion. I got a total of 679 different folders in my Graal folder. I guess it would be better to sort it by playerworlds (what the name of the pw you downloaded it from was). Something like Graal\levels\images\Era\ and Graal\levels\images\Atlantis\ for example. Also, there are tons of files. I currently have 32724 files in my Graal folders. Not cool :/

I deleted my entire graal folder and reinstalled today due to the pure amount of crap in it >_<. Need something to detect if a file hasn't be used in some time so it can be deleted ^^.

As long as servers name files sensibly, then the system will work. It's a good idea grouping these images, because then if a server makes all of it's filenames start with it's name, i.e. era_foo.png, era_bar.png, then they are easy to look through.
There is not currently a way to disable this, it might be possible for Stefan to add it though. |

The generic images usually just go to a folder named "Downloads" for me, unless there's an underscore in the name, at all.
There should be some feature that automatically downloads all of the server files into the image folder under the server name, such as all the images of Classic would go to a folder named.. "Classic". It'd probably be much more efficient. |

I'm not saying having a seperate folder for each server is stupid. In fact it may be the best solution, because nobody names their files correctly... I'm just saying this is the reason I remember. Pointless as it may seem. |
I've just noticed webgifs is missing. :[
