quantity buying

Ever since Hachi introduced the dumb click-buy system, it's been a complete ***** buying large amounts of ammo, food, etc. Hachi said he would make a "quantity" buyerand never did, in which we click the item, we raise the amount we want to buy, and then click the checkmark to buy. This is much more convenient then clicking the ammo, then the checkmark, clicking the ammo, then the checkmark. Agree?

Well I would've if Andy would've let me. According to him it was unfair because people would buy out everything too fast.

Of course it would be more convenient to buy in quantities, but the system is designed to be inconvenient and arduous so that you can't just walk in and buy all of the ammo in like 5 seconds.

The system already exists... I've already done it. I just refuse to add it. :(
Sorry...

Okay, well maybe make it less tedious?(sp)

Back when you had to say "buy handgun ammo" it was so much easier to buy large amounts and everyone still had a chance to get ammo, so it wasn't like one person could buy out the ammo in a few seconds, it still took long but wasn't as tedious.

I wasn't talking about raising the quantity to 100 and buying it. Maybe you could add it so if theres(for example) 100+ ammo stocked, you can buy in stacks of 2. etc.

How about instead of buying all at once, it adds the item to you every 0.5 seconds?

Sum41Freeeeek 03-22-2007 09:40 PM

That's a good idea, although .5 might be too low.

Have it process your purchase. Processing time depends on how much you bought, and you can't buy anything else until they finish processing your last purchase. Basicly the same idea as above but simplified a little.

Go for the win-win situation: You can buy in bulk, yeah, but you have a limit of say 5 of that particular item in a bulk buy before you must click it again to buy another 5 or less. It's not huge that you'd wipe the stock out in one hit, and not too small that you're not going to get what you wanted in a shorter amount of time, compared to click, buy, click, buy, click etc.
