Whats the point of leveling magic?
 

What's the point of leveling magic when your spells don't get significantly stronger when you level up. The only thing that I can see is that it is just taking more mana for me to cast my spells. Im doing close to the same magic damage as a level 8 with level 5 magic when neither of us had resist on. It might be just me but I think if I were to get hit by one of ed's bullets it should do more than 8-11 damage with 0 resist.

magic does get stronger...doesnt it?

also, leveling up your magic level, makes walls last longer...

Not anymore. Magic is uber strong now. Someone got owned with a lightning spell (single) in Bog Spar.

I'm talking about on main.

leveling magic does increase some of the spells powers, but to minor effect. Its also supposed to give longer spell times on things like bullet walls.

Increases damage
Increases spellpoint cost
Increases duration/range

Except that they do.

Magic does increase in strength as you get higher up.

It's likely because your level hasn't reached a point high enough to where you'd notice it yet. If you do a lot of immenses and stuff, you'll start to notice that after a while you have to use fewer magic bullets to kill things off.

I notice that I drop Saber tooths and Panthers in 3 bullets.

I never tried brutals, before Ibonic took my items. But I did notice that when I was at lvl 16 in magic, and had 30 Power I was killing T-Rex's in 1 magic bullet. When before when I had lvl 8 (maybe it was 9) magic, and only 22 Power, it took a few magic bullets to kill them. So it does get stronger, but maybe it was just my Power effecting it the most.

Usually takes me 2 large lightning to kill off a lord.

magic is 14

Also, your magic level determines the spells you can cast. For instance you need level 17 magic to cast Rune of Death.

Having high magic makes you uber pwnage at being a magical super duper person. AKA mage

power: 15
level: 16
I want 30 power thatd be sweet it takes me all 76 mana to kill a lord with lightning and large bullets :(
