Wizard: In Progress

Here is preview on my second pixel art drawing.

There are obviously a lot of things I need to work on in it such as these:

Depth
The Wizard's Head
The rock
Presumably something holding the staff (arms)
To do the background/water
Wind

However, I think I should get some opinions, to see if I'm doing something deathly wrong with this before I progress.

The image is VERY DARK.
The staff looks like a wang.
He has a very blocky shape to him

I like the way you're going about your work - objective based. I'm afraid I can't say much until I see more of it.

They've had GATS like Elk work there too. Did not help a bit.
