How old are you?
 

Well according to the rules, Graal's userbase consists primarily of young teenagers... so I was just wanting to get a more accurate answer to this...

I know these have been done in the past, but that was the past forum members, I want to know how old the present ones are. :)

I tried to make the poll as flexible as possible... Let's try to get as many people to answer this as possible so we can get a good estimate. Also, this goes without saying... but please don't lie about your age.

(and I knew I'd mess up the poll... if you are 30 pick the 30-40 choice, if you are 40, pick the 40 or older choice... unless a staff can fix that) lol

Then I don't believe it's fair to say that the majority of Graal's playerbase are young teenagers. That's the only thing that irks me really. It's fine if you say that people from all age groups view these forums, which is why we have the rules that we do... but to say that we have these rules only because the majority of the Graal community is young is kind of a joke.

I'm not 100% certain but I believe that most of Graal's playerbase is actually in the 16+ age group. My reasons for this are as follows:

1. Most everyone I know on Graal is 16 or older.
2. This poll is going to show a large amount of 16 or older members in comparison to the young kids.
3. Graal was started many years ago and a lot of people in the community have been here for many years. Which means even if they were 12-15 when they started playing, they are no longer 12-15.
4. Graal was based on another well known game, which was released in 1992, which was 15 years ago... Which means people who were fans of that game and found Graal, are most likely over 15 years of age. Obviously you could argue that the series is still releasing new games today for younger generations but the fact remains that Graal was based on the 1992 game... and while it had many years of success, the super nintendo is kind of an ancient gaming system to people who are 13 years old.... seeing as how it came out before they were born.

I dunno... like I said... it just irks me that the rules state this, and that the administration/management seem to think that most players are young teenagers... basing this on nothing more than an uneducated assumption.

As far as the rules go I can understand where most of the rules come from. Most users might be over the age of 16, but some users aren't and it'd only take a small number of people to find something offensive and to try and launch a campaign against Graal to mess things up.
But I do agree that it is carried out to an almost ridiculous level, especially posts being deleted for "spam".

Unixmad is trying to make the forums a 'friendly' place, but really he's just made it more hostile by pitting players against mods.

This poll is good for reflecting the forum userbase, but I was pretty supprised myself to see how young the players actually are.

Classic has an older playerbase, I guess it's those who are clinging on to the memories and have been around for a while. Zodiac averages at about 16, I'm not sure about UN but I'd say it were about the same. I think Kingdoms would probably have an older playerbase too.

The options are based on my estimate of the majority of Graal players. Meaning I don't think there are THAT many players over 30, therefore I grouped them. There are only 10 choices allowed for a poll... otherwise I would have made it more precise. I tried to give some ages their own option since people tend to mature a lot from the age of 13 through 18.

*shakes head* This poll is not going to show the ages of the Graal player base, as most of them do not post on these forums. All it is going to show is the age group of the posters.
If this is what you are trying to show, then fine....

I am thinking the majority of the playerbase falls between 14 and 20, but the avid posters are 16+. Viewers can be any age, and may not even play Graal at all.

Just that Darlene say most of the people on these forums are young teenagers, which I also don't think is true.

Graal's getting older. We haven't had the influx of newbies we had when this game was free. It's not breeding in highschool labs anymore.
