Setting Transparency To A Certain Degree

Does anyone have any idea how to set a transparency to a certain degree so a character might look semi transparent for a website banner? :O In Paint Shop Pro?

You probably want to use a 24bit PNG. Just set as you would normally and save it as a 24bit png. Some (older) browsers don't support it though.

set opacity to 50% and save it as 24bit PNG ^^
