Class Abilities + New Class

First of all i think players should have abilities of the class they chose.
For example Barbarians can warcry to temporarily give them stat boosts and so on. Knights maybe have damage bonuses on certain weapons. but the main thing i am interested is new spells for these classes and a new class alltogether.

A druid!
A spell which would allow you to transform into a monster of some sort or a wolf would be very fun, and spells for other classes would be pretty good too.

I have not thought this through much and pretty much left this idea open for all you to discuss. What do you think?

you post way too many suggestions.

but this has to be one of the few i actually like.

:)

Shapeshifting always rocks...unfortunatly you need a system that doesn't ever assume you are human if you want it implemented easily. I don't think GK's systems are like that.

The Barbarian and Thief classes really have nothing going for them.

MasterNuke 02-03-2007 11:43 PM

Barbarians: Berserk - Toggle skill that increase damage and speed at cost of defense/resistances.
Warriors: Guard - Toggle skill that increases defense and enables shield blocking at cost of speed.
Thief: Combo - Damage increase that scales with multiple hits in a time frame. Basicly, the more you hit an opponent within a time frame, the more damage you deal with successive hits. It would favor smaller, faster weapons.
Alchemist: Throw - Ability to throw bombs to deal explosive damage(maybe different kinds of bombs ex. ice bomb, shock charge, sticky bomb) and throw supportive potions on allies.
Sorcerer: Spell Mastery - Passive bonuses to cast speeds and efficiency. Access to attune spells and can cast without wands.

Attune Spells - Spells available to only sorcerers that are attuned to the spell's tree.

Examples:

Comet(missile attune) - The already existing comet spell.
Icewave(cold attune) - Point blank area effect spell from the caster that hits all within moderate range with cold damage. Very short cast time.
Fireball Volley(fire attune) - With no target, shoots lots of fireballs in all directions. With a target, shoots several targeted fireballs at the target. Moderate cast time.

I have always enjoyed crossing over into the other classes by learning all of the bard and thief abilities, not to mention I am a priest with every sorcerer spell. I would not like it if my spells were suddenly class restricted. I couldn't use my precious fire-bolt spell!

However I really love the idea of the druid/shape-shifting class. Maybe the more you level up personality the more monsters/spells you could become. At level fifty personality maybe you can choose a lord class or something, that would be so fun.

Myth, anyone ever tell you that you have a lot of decent ideas? Maybe you should host a server of your own and write out all the things you have ever wanted in there.

How come so many spells don't work in Kingdoms, Masternuke? I always noticed that tons of cool spells like Dispel, Speedball, Meteor Strike, Meteor Storm, Summon Cult Monsters, and Call holy servant all don't work properly.

You know how everyone is talking about new combat system?
If they worked well on it they should add skill combo attacks.
I know its a little arcadey but it would be cool, say a theif which is agile can jump up and summersault slash enemies and so on. Barbarians which are a little more grounded have powerful armour-crushing moves.

Knights are fairly balanced in both ect. it would be cool and for this fantasy medevil type of game....realistic.

Oh btw, yes i do post too much i know and do i care?....you all should know i dont by now. Staff know how to stop me posting...work on the game instead of forum cruising.

I'm pretty sure Dispel, Speedball, and Meteor Strike were intended for monsters only in Crossfire. Meteor *Swarm's book doesn't spawn in shops because it is learned through a quest in Crossfire. Summon Cult Monsters and Call Holy Servant simply have been disabled because they were never fixed to work with GK.

Can you at least develop your idea more before moving to a different topic? You always just put out something vague and rant about how it would be neat.

As far as I can gather, those are spells that should be used to level up to summon avatar.
