VS:Conflict?

I noticed that in Wan's signature he said the VS:C map was finished. I checked out the link and it looked pretty funky. I am pretty excited to see this actually. Could Wan or others post information on VS:C?

On a sidenote, I thought there was another continent above the mainland. Was that scratched?

I've been waiting for VS for 2 years.
The only 'classic' world I can see that is in development out there. This is the kinda world I'd have been really excited about and offered to work on 3/4 years ago!

I'm kinda hoping for Esteria, Zenkou, and VS :P
Yeah, give us some updates VS Staff! !pissed!

Mykel 01-04-2007 01:19 AM

I think Wan and his brother are the only staff...?

There was a few months where Eagle, myself, Yen, Contiga, and Skyld were all staff of some sort, but that slowly fell apart due to various reasons, but Wan has stuck with it.

No surprise Yen left. (Or I'm guessing).

I hope it is good :D

WanDaMan 01-04-2007 09:17 AM

It's Me and Niklas working on it. The overworld has been completed but we're still working on the main systems & inside levels at the moment.

Don't get your hopes up, I don't want a huge hype around this; you'll just be let down.

Yen was actually really dedicated when we had our big core group together.

Yen is never dedicated, people just fall into his words and believe him just because he is scripting a few things for 1 week.

He was a dedicated staff member for over 2 months, and the only reason he left is because the administration had an arguement, and it was thought that the server was dead.

We had problems with the server, like no GServer for quite a long time, because we both were in a situation were a gserver is not affordable.

Now it is, and it's running again!

Forget about the past, we are in the presence, and the future will be V$!!!
(maybe.)

;p

If you wanna call 2 months dedicated rofl. And having 1 disagreement isnt a good reason to quit. Just shows how immature someone can be.

Devil 01-05-2007 01:02 AM

But that's Yen for you, and that's why he is ****** from Graal.

Didn't you just say he only scripts for a week? So, doesn't that make you wrong? Also, the arguement completely split the server. No one was working on it. It was over. Then Wan continued it later, mostly offline for awhile.

I'm not saying Yen doesn't have a history, but considering in this instance, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, I wouldn't try to sound like you do.

Yes I said a week...exactly 7 days all the time...I didn't mean that literally bud. I was saying he didn't stay dedicated to any project to the end. But ahh this is driving this thread off subject.

I understand what you meant and I didn't mean to sound like I took it literally, but Yen was actually very dedicated. He did a ton of work for the server, and he left when he basically had no other choice.

Eagle 01-05-2007 08:52 AM

Yen actually did a great load of work for VS when it was all togethor. I'm sure you can find threads when it was split, backing what Mykel has said.

Wan is doing a great job sticking with it through tough times, you deserve tons of credit, man. Looking forward, but not getting hopes too high in your wishes. =]

I think its out of question that a good scripter like yen is always a good help, but we should look and stick to the future of V$, and see the PW as a whole, not as a combination of good developers only ;p.
