Graal quits easy

If I have safari open, with Graal in the back, and I press cmd Q to quit safari, Graal decides it wants to quit too!
Its very annoying.

I should also note, it does this with other applications.
Graal is just really sensitive to quitting.

I don't have this problem. Are you sure it's not you just accidentally pressing Cmd-Q more than once?

excaliber7388 01-02-2007 02:23 AM

Lol
I'm sure.
Could it be because I have to run Graal through an emulator (rosetta)?

Skyld 01-02-2007 02:28 AM

Might be, but that's one unusual bug. Perhaps you should post about it in the Apple Discussion boards; this seems more of a Mac problem.

If it is I wouldent expect anything because you seem to be running a windows version if your having that sorta problem.

Graal also shuts down itself and every window with a "DeDe" in it if it detects one because of the Delphi Decompiler...its kinda annoying -_-

Actually, I've noticed that Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 (a PPC program) does not do this, which leads me to believe this is just Graal.

No, Graal is made to run on a power PC Processor, the older type of Mac processor.
Rosetta makes it run on an Intel Mac.
Unfortunately, this makes it run slower, and take up more of the cpu...and may be leading to this little bug, or whatever they're using to detect when a player presses it, since alt Q also causes it to quit.
This leads me to believe someone just put this together a little sloppy from the windows version. x_X

There is actually a hack in the code to explicity check for Alt+Q even if you assign the quit-action to another key combination. So basicly when Graal gets the focus and you have Alt+Q pressed it will shutdown, I can check if this can be disabled in the future.

excaliber7388 01-10-2007 07:59 PM

I think it's too sensitive.
No other program does this for me, I take my fingers off Q really quickly, before it has time to switch, but it still quits.
