Crow [UPDATED]
 

Just as a follow up to my crow sketch in The Sketch Thread, here's a further illustration I did in Adobe Illustrator.

I'm not happy with the results, but I was experimenting with a new technique.

it's alright, the head/beak looks a bit deformed

I think its cool :P

Birds tend to have more elongated, slender, curvy bodies. The problem with the bird lies mainly in the pose. The bird's back is very rigid, forcing it to look at the ground which is a very weird place for it bo be looking with wings outstretched, considering that birds usually look down at places to land, or if they are in search of something on the ground, but usually that's not often with wings outstretched.

Its beak look kinda "fat", otherwise it's very cool.

Did you ever saw a crow irl? they have such beaks!

Look, a crow has a rather big, but slender, beak, the drawing has a rather round and big beak.

i think it only looks like that because it's beak is closed

This is clearly a stylized drawing x_x If you're not sure what "Stylization" in illustration is (although I'm sure you are), look it up on Google.

I think it looks pretty neat, it'd make a good tattoo.

That was actually my original intent - however I'm going to fix it a bit. Some of the lines on it are too even and small. Looks pretty bad right now.

Look at the lines I put on it's "thigh". Looks pretty nice there.

As I said earlier, I was going to work on this more. However I took a second look at it in Illustrator and I'm ashamed to call it my work. I redesigned it entirely, please tell me which of the two designs is better.

I was going to mention that in my first post. Don't jump in my face or I'll jump down your throat, and you know it.

Also, don't even start to use 'stylization' here because people will start to rape that term like they do with other stuff. It's stylized, sure, but you might want to mention that it's stylized to look like an illustration / tattoo and not simply just 'stylized.' You'd give people the wrong idea and give them the notion that they can use that as a term to defend any slight mistake in their work. Your bird's pose was stiff and rigid, whether it was stylized or not. The wings were curvy, the back stiff, and I decided to make a point of it.

Ok first off since I never commented on the first one...
It is kind of stiff but I like how you made it look like a design on some medival wood burned image. The linear shading you did is great :)
