Comments/suggestions on these character sprites? NOTE: I did not make this, Jer - my Co Manager made it but I am posting it for suggestions. I will post movement sprites aswell once Ive talked to him since I no longer have that file.

The quality is good, but they appear to be seen entirely from the side, while they need to be slightly top-down, unless you're going for a platform effect. :x

Looks pretty nice. I especially like the hair.
The shoes look like tiny little sacks tied around his feet :D I like that.

Looks good
but the pillow shading makes it suck ^^

konidias 10-11-2006 07:20 PM

looks like he has a very well oiled chest... but maybe that's your thing :p

I also noticed the pillow shading, it doesnt help at all. Id also think about getting rid of the black outlines and adding darker tones of close by colours.

In this case I have nothing wrong with the pillow shading.

The eyes seem kind of spaced a bit far apart

I agree with the top-down thing.

lancelot9 10-12-2006 02:07 PM

it all depends on how your tileset looks.. maybe take a screeny?

So? Everything on Mythic is made from scratch, so it will look 'normal sized' on the server.
