I use the non-graphic version with black font. I would love to have a chance to skin the non-graphic version.

I heard that happens if you use a shortcut for RC2. Something about having to double click it to open it for the graphic engine to work properly for some reason...I still use the 2004 RC though so...yeah.

Open the controlconfig.txt in your main graal folder. It may be named something slightly different. Mine is named control2config.txt

I don't know if it's the same for everyone or not.

Anyway, after you open it, you can edit different things that obviously have different effects. Editing the background for another picture is pretty easy. You just put the directory of where the new picture is. Example, for me, it is:
C:\Program Files\Graal\graallol.PNG

Anyway, many things can be edited, and it's pretty self explanitory. The easiest way is to just mess with things and see what happens. :)

See, skins in general are needed...both for RC and for the client...it can't be that much work to make something skinnabo...

Lol, I don't care, i just find it funny.
