Shawn64.. and his server?
 

Hey, since S64 died.. sadly. How has his project been doing? I've noticed it's off the list now... but I am pretty sure people have sworn his project will be finished for him. So will it? I mean.. the server was great, and I know I can't understand why he would do such a thing.. even searching name brings up tons of threads on forums etc.. about him.

So is it gonna be finished.... or sadly.. has it been dropped?

If anyone is to start talking bad about Shawn64 in this thread, please delete there post. I am just trying to find out the current progress - if its still going on etc..

I'm pretty confident in saying that Mystical Dragon is the current Manager of the server?

I enjoyed my brief encounter on the server, it'd be nice knowing what's happening.

Def.. but Shangri-La is not on the list anymore.. =(

It was awesome when Shawn was making it, last i saw him was when he was making the remote control cars and i got to test them :P

He rocked and was really the heart of that server, no offense to the other staff.

I literally talked to him the 17/18/19th.. one of those days.

MD is busy with IRL stuff, and last time I checked nobody else was working on it.

I had no Idea Shangri-La was removed from the list.It was up just a few days ago????I will check into and get back to you.I been working 60+ hours on the casino boat (its a seasonal job) and i wont be able to start on shangri again untill October 1st.But I will look into it and get back to you guys a.s.a.p.

S64 helped me once before on UN. I have nothing better to do and need graphics, gani and level practice. You know where to talk to me MD.

Well i'm co-manager, I haven't been on because i've been working on some other stuff and having computer problems. Me and mysticaldragon are tring to fix it up/finish it..^^


I need my rc fixed but not at the moment my hard disk is having some minor issues and i'm on a live boot of ubuntu linux I can still go on rc but i'm gonna be busy getting money for a new hard disk.

For shawn's sake... give it another year to finish it.

Just out of respect to Shawn, it should stay on Graal "forever", so yeah.. a classic status would be awesome.

I think Stefan should take over and make it an awsuem server.. and then Gold it up. I'd play it, it looked awsuem - hopefulyl he finds someone to gfx like shawn did.

If you people care that much for the server, why don't you raise the required funds and reactivate the subscription?

Because if we could get money easily.. I doubt we'd even be playing graal and we'd be playing a game like WoW payin 15/month.. mk?

I HEAVILY disagree. I'm not doubting. Shawn and Galdor weer2 OF the best. The best would include Bloo Kat, Zero Hour and several others not very active on forums and that quit Graal.

I knew Shawn, I talked to him very often. But I dont really know what happened to him. Could someone explain maybe? PM if it hurts saying it public... If you really wanna finish it for him...I'm in if you need me.

When I get the playerworld back up, I plan on hireing a whole new team from scratch.

I'm pretty sure that Shawn wasn't the only person that played graal who has killed himself. Why didn't the rest of them get servers?

Well i dont see why other people should get servers, maybe the people who killed themselves. But they wont be much use to them now xD

Maybe a little more criteria then the owner (well former owner) not having a pulse then?

But really this isn't going to be a big issue, it is one person, who ran a quite popular server, that had a lot of potential being shut down because he isn't here anymore.

Shangri-La was a whole new idea, like Zone was originally. That's why.

I said resubscribe, I'am the Manager and I never expected a free playerworld just a few players suggested it.So why do you assume its/I'am selfish?
Okie you know me and I don't ask for anything for free so why do you asume I'am getting a free world.As soon as stefan sends me the resubscribe link i will renew the playerworld at the regular cost.So there is no need to bicker about the invital facts.

I already told you on AIM, but I will post it here again for clarity. I was not talking to you when I made that statement, I was talking to all the people who are acting as if Stefan or unixmad owes Shawn a server.

Shangri-La wasn't the only playerworld that had original content but was shut down because no one paid the bills. If you people want the server up that badly, make a donation to MD, and help him pay for the server.

No one has to make a donation to MD because he has stated twice that he wishes for the account to be put into his name and that he will pay for it.

The bickering needs to end, a person has passed away. Let it end there.
