The F7 List, Semi Trans

Im not sure if this is possible already or something but, i recently liked going in full screen but i also like to have my f7 list up, but it covers some of the GUIs and stuff on some servers.

I think it would be great if it was semi -trans and when you put your cursor across it it goes back to normal.

But i do remeber something about being able to do it myself, but meh. just an idea.

You are using Linux or Mac (scripted RC) or the Windows version?

WanDaMan 09-22-2006 11:11 PM

He's talkin' about the default playerlist I believe.

Skyld 09-22-2006 11:27 PM

A program called "Glass2k" should be able to do what you are looking for, I think.

Isn't there a rule about using any 3rd party program to adjust the gameplay? :o

Uh, it isn't really adjusting the gameplay. It just makes windows semi-transparent.

My daddy and mommy permits me to download such stuff! I already have to sneak aim on my computer!!!

I think this should be in graal so I don't need to get in trouble w/ mommy and daddy =(

Tom 09-23-2006 12:48 AM

lol Well i dont want it in graal because of my daddy and mommy like some :P

Admins 09-23-2006 01:00 AM

Well the scripted playerlist could be semi-transparent

KuJi 09-23-2006 01:36 AM

Why can't you just make scripted playerlist work for reg. graal =(?

Actually it is; Your basically hooking dlls to forcefully modify the opacity of the window ingame giving you an unfair advantage to others because not all are transparents therefor it should be considered a 'cheat' its not better then artmoney or etc.

Do you not think before you post?

Wait let me quote a staff member on this one 'RULES > LOGIC LAWL!'

A cheat is a cheat; If it makes a window transparent so you can have thhe advantage of looking at graal client and the playerlist; or if you moidify your stats with an illegal program.

Stefan what the hell is with you and your huge hardon for scripted tools instead of actually coding the program yourself:

Examples;
1. You dont want a offline client where you can actually debug gscript2 nah you need to buy a $60 liscence ontop of a $30 gold account and use a less then par method of debuging on a server.

2. Now instead of making a opacity slider or something hard coded you want players to code the playerlist? x.x Seems less effecient.

3. Instead of help expand tools for multi-os ie Linux and Mac you have dev tools only for Windows but you give Linux and Mac a arc which is completely useless for making levels or ganis; Instead you want a scripter level editor instead of trying to port the current tools to native language of Linux and Mac.

I'd hate to call you lazy on this one but an answer would be appreciated.

HAY THIS PLAYER IS USING A 2GHZ SEMPRON PROCESSOR AND ATI RADEON 256MB GRAPHICS CARD. THIS PUTS HIM AT UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER THIS PENTIUM II USER HERE. WE MUST BAN.

Uh, once again, do you not think before you post? The Scripted Playerlist is the playerlist used on the Mac and Linux clients.

This is hardly relevant.

Nowhere did he say he wanted players to code the playerlist. Please see my second point.

Again, where is the relevance in this post?

Think and THEN post.

Isn't that hardware and not software? :o

The way pacMASTA is drawing this out, absolutely any difference between any computer should be seen as unfair advantage!

Oh. Ok.

Tyhm 09-25-2006 02:50 AM

Me, I like the scripted tools. I'd like to see more of the Hardcoded bits Scripted, as it makes it easier to re-script them (as in, it's easier to go into the default Serverlist code on my hypothetical server and tweak it to not show anyone's head-icon than it is to script my own from scratch...and more efficient to reroute an existing script than write another one to override it. The computer doesn't have to display the default list, then hide it, then show mine...it can just show the default list with my edits, the end.)

Am I the only one to realize that there is a problem with transparencies and Graal, and so making your window transparent as a playlist would, ultimately, cause your graphics to look pretty weird?
