RC Options not working (RC2)!

Every option I set, as I want it, doesn't work.. for example, the download folder can't be set, syntax highlighting in scripting windows doesn't work (neither for serveroptions), auto indenting doesn't work.. etc. Anyone knows why? I just have RC2 in my Graal folder, and a shortcut to it on my desktop. The control2config file is also in my Graal folder. It worked for me always, untill I've got this new PC.

Is the control2config file writable?

Prolly, because in the control2config file, there is for example highlighting=true (or w/e the option is, I saw it set as true).
