New Section: MIDI Making
 

I make MIDIs from time to time, and would like to get comments on them. So why not add a MIDI section? Theres one for Ganis, Scripts, Levels and Graphics.

Yeah I like the idea. People could show off thier midis, share programs they use (not actually share, unless, of course, it's os or freeware).
I always would have liked to do this, but I don't know any programs for it.

Maybe 2 people?

How many for ganis?
Graalshop is the only tool for it, and not the easiest to use either.

I Promted for a SAT section for the Forums awhile ago but Stefan said it would be useless becuase of how little people actually do make music.

Im getting better and better!

I still say the most important step in getting a music team on Graal is the establishment of the nonexclusive copyright. It just needs to officially say somewhere:
"By uploading this music you certify that you are the originator of said media and grant [Graal Online/This server] an irrevocable nonexclusive copyright to this media for use in the game only." That way it's still Your Song, and if you uploaded stolen music Graal's not liable. If you someday release an album you can use Your Song, and Graal can still use its own copy. Graal can't release a Music of Graal CD without your permission. Ideally it'd all be nicely coded by the webmaster so there could be a central Music Database, there'd be global reviewers, and each song would be tied to the account that uploaded it (so when, in 3 years, BlackLabel says "Hey you stole our song" Graal can say "Oh? Sorry, didn't notice, HungryLemur said he wrote it. Hang on, I've got his real name in here somewhere...oh, apparently he used the same credit card as your new bassist..." Or something.)

's a good midi. Maybe not There Yet, but it's better'n I can do. Better'n what we usually had in the background of Classic, or at least, less intrusive.

*shrugs* Maybe some things need a central upload location and some things need a central discussion location. I mean, if there was one place where everyone could share Ganis, then it'd be sensible to walk in and say "Hey, anyone know where I can get a gani in the Classic style of a guy flipping a coin?"
