Craftable permanent items!
I know this thread wont get anywhere due to hopeless players and lazy staff, but i still like getting my ideas out there!
First off, a playermade well, cost some boards, nails, stone, cloth. You dig a hole in the ground somewhere, put the well in the hole, and voila! a well you can get water from! Another thing is a windmill for flour, and some of the other outside objects you find in towns. OUTSIDE objects, not shops and breadmakers or anything like that. This way, forts can be more independant, like mideval forts and castles. In times of war everything they needed was right inside the castle, they didnt have to travel miles and miles just to get to a farm or well. good for RP. But it cant be all good. An enemy could sneak in and sabotage the stuff! Jam the windmill, poison the well, this would cripple the fort so the members couldnt get stuff so easily. |

This "lazy staff" phrase makes me sick. Learn to talk about things, without bashing others or leave it!

Why cant you just get water from the sea? much easier.
Well maybe if someone adds this well it should give you more water and quicker :D |

The hardest thing would be editing the levels/scripts... but still 3/4 of the work is already done. But I guess posts like this explain why there are never new items even after the GFX are made for you. |

I don't see a GFX of a small well anywhere, do you. There is only the existing one which is too, huge. It would also be bad to keep it there. I thought about something like that you have to dig for water and if you found it you can put some small hand-water pump in it to get water from it. After some time the water is empty and you can take it again and place it somewhere else. |
And to Back up Björn, if you have Items(Such as Wells) that are Permenant then people will Block buildings, houses castles, etc. and eventually No island will be useable :P
However I like the idea of having to Find certian spots to put them, then the water runs out and the Well must be re-placed |

You can get it from the sea if you stand just right at the shore line but its like only 1 water each time. |

Yeah true they could after a few hours but that still doesn't take away from the annoyance that will come when ppl start building a ton of them outside of shops, taverns, trade's etc. Because it will happen. |

At last it's a question of the items you'll need to build a well (a shovel, maybe a hammer, stones (30), water, and a new construction material like sand from the south east coast of main for example). |
Quote:
Yeah they are annoying too but ppl would probably build these directly in front of doors. I would say a shovel, axe, hammer, 30 stone, 3 logs, a new construction material 1 rope, and sand. |

yeah true. I hope it gets made. would also like to see a salt mine and salt refinery that way we wouldn't have to spend like 500 plat just to get to 1 salt. |

Well, basically everything is done except the grahpic of the hanwell and it's mudicon. What means the gani can't be worked on.
Something like that from the concept would be good. http://www.washjeff.edu/CAPL/images/l/1648.jpg |

Then I want you to play for three years, atleast, and get involved in development. Then I want you to reflect on this and ask yourself, "What the Hell was I thinking?" Thanks. |
