Graal 4.1 Crashes on Startup - Fix here!

So since the "new version" I have not been able to run Graal. On both my home PC and work laptop I've reinstalled the video card and directx drivers. I've also tried switching to 16 bit blah blah all that other useless crap. I estimate a few other hundred players are also having difficulties. Good work. I bet alot of people have quit, being 10 and computer illiterate and all. I also assume then that UNs population is down to 20. But, I have not been able to log on so I wouldn't really know, would I?

I've attatched a screenshot of what happens when I attempt to open Graal. I pay for this account, you broke it, fix it. Now. :\

Of course, the obvious question is going to come out, have you reinstalled? If you haven't, go do it.

By reinstalling, that isnt just "deleting" your graal folder, use the setup that you downloaded and I believe you can change something to remove the files. Other than asking you if your an idiot, thats all I got to suggest.

did u notice the part Other Threads that have the problem that fixed it?

CheeToS2 08-12-2006 02:27 AM

Please tone it down a bit :)

Stefan is currently on vacation & won't be back for around a week, so it may take some time to fix the problem. This doesn't look like the Windows Defender problem, as it isn't referencing MSVCR80.DLL. Does the error occur right when you start Graal, after you click Start, or some other time?

Cheet that same prob happend to me and if u do look in past threads Stefan does say Windows Defender =/

It looks like something dude2020 suggested in another thread could fix the problem.

1) Close Graal
2) Open graal4config.txt
3) Find startinfullscreen=true and change it to startinfullscreen=false
4) Save graal4config.txt
5) Start Graal

Ahhh... thank you very much ^^

I would have honestly tried to put it in window mode, but it was giving me that error not only when double clicked Graal4 but also when I would select Graal4 Setup.... so I couldn't change it, or so I thought

For the record, I did browse through several of the 3490683083 bug threads and nothing appeared similar to mine, which is why I started a new thread. The problem is solved, thanks again ;)
