I whipped this out in an hour for a friend last night. He's been working on an ep album and I figured I could help out a little :)

Lovin the bar closeup. The big square looks ok for an album cover I guess. :o

There is nothing to focus on besides the text box, which is oddly positioned. It wouldn't be bad if the text box were on a plain background, but the cascading light makes it seem like something else should be on that cover as well.

The band needs a symbol that represents them..

Anyways, the bar with the name would look good if it was off centered and to the lower right. And in the center of the picture you could have the symbol of the band in the middle of appearing from the top? Not really sure. Would make the image have a more complete fill.

Either a logo, or better position the box. I see why you put it there, but it's awkward.

Mm, looks good Alarid but like everyone else I would suggest a logo to fill it in a bit more.
