The Monster Arena
 

Heres my idea. From a few games I've played. My favorite thing was the Monster Arena. A place where you could go and wager on your favorite single monster or monster group in a fight to the death! You could even send yourself into the arena for certain occassions to fight these monsters and even win money yourself as a contestant!

I really believe this idea would bring about the creation of new monsters by player gfxers and by staff gfxers as they would have a basic place to insert the monster to start with, without having a whole new dungeon or land gmap made for this monster to be at.

Another good reason this idea would be helpful is that this could really lessen the PKing in the server because people would have something to be watching and interacting with.


I am confident that if staff make this a reality they will see players a bit more happy and playing graal kingdoms a bit more. And, I hope very much, attracts new players to subscribe to gold and play this server. We really could use it. Thank you for reading. I hope staff and players alike will agree this idea is neat and worth considering :)

I remeber something like that in Fable. Fighting diffirent waves of monsters.

I like that idea alot, would be much more entertaining then sitting in Bomboria trade!

We have one on maloria that wasnt fully scripted yet...but its still kinda fun.
Anyways, I've played those on other games and they are pretty fun. It would be kinda neat to see.

Yep. But my bet is that the existing 'staff' won't be bothered to work on something like this... I say staff wipe :D

Get new staff, staff that actually want to work on the server to make it better for the players

It wouldn't be that hard to GFX that Arena in GK Style to be honest.

Yeah I like this suggestion too. It would be good to have a high score points log to look at, like with the other games, to see who has accumulated the most kills in the monster arena (or kill points, if there are monsters of different HP and value points - a lvl 10 killing a mega bomy shouldn't get the same points as a level 60 killing an evil steroid Bjornasaurus).

Sounds fun. It kind of reminds me of the Battle Arena in Oblivion. :megaeek:

Thank you all for posting your opinions and how you feel about this idea. I would like staff to please look and consider this idea to be developed as soon as possible. It would be nice to see a nice big new release that would change how we spend our time on gk and will keep us online. I think a good idea to put the arena would be in the middle of the old event island, it would be cool to have something fun on main island to keep players attracted there but away from the trades areas and such, and may even attract customers to the taverns to supply fans with food and beverages.

Yes many games have a monster arena. The Dragon Warrior IV console game I used to play had one too, which is what made me get the idea in my head :D.

A score keeper would be cool to see who placed the highest against what monsters. Also some sort of chart with odds for or against a group of monsters that are about to battle.

If any debug staff like this idea, please post. If this is a good idea and you think it should be added, let everyone know so we can get this idea going.
