Can we overhaul the physical battling system?

It was be way more awesome if we had a system like Secret of Mana that punishes button mashers. I tried coming up with a good description but in the description the system sounded like it sucks. So instead of me describing it everyone should just play Secret of Mana, and then they will understand how this would improve 2K2.

I understand Googi and I'll try to explain it for ya.

In Secret of Mana you have a bar representing the "cool down" time of your weapon in addition to a percentage. When the bar/percentage reaches 100% its a good time to get in another swing. You can attack before that but it wont do as much damage. So you can still swing fast but if you wait for your weapon to recharge then you'll do more damage overall.

This is used on GK for the soccer on event island to let players kick the ball harder.

I'm all for punishing the people who spam the spacebar.

This guy obviously hasn't played Secret of Mana.

I'm not suggesting a stamina system. Stamina systems are huge pain. In fact, the reason I didn't post the explanation I came up with was because it made it sound a lot like a stamina system.

Terranigma's got an awesome battle system.

I think Illusion of Gaia had something similiar to this as well.
And I dont remember if Terranigma had the same sort of thing...its been way too long since I've played it.

Terranigma is a part of the Illusion of Gaia series. It's what comes after it.
