Mass Override

Pardon me if this was already suggested:

In the RC options, there should be an option weather or not you want to
override mass messages. I like to play the server I work on, and I can't
mass message without being ignored, because the players with mass
messages on ignore don't like the fact they can still get messages from me.
It would be a great feature, hope you take this to mind. ;)

jake13jake 07-14-2006 05:45 PM

yea, this feature has needed to be added for a while now.

Angel_Light 07-14-2006 06:19 PM

well theres the feature to ignore mass message when you player is on

Crono 07-14-2006 06:29 PM

Staff messages are too important.

I don't want people ignoring me, since I'm staff. If I have something to say,
they won't hear it. Besides, they then complain to other staff that I keep
"abusing" my staff rights to mass message.

"I have RC, so if I send a mass message, on RC or not, it doesn't matter if the
player has ignore mass messages on or off. They'll get it.

This, however, is a problem for me. I need to advertise my business/gang, and
I currently can't do this without abusing my RC/causing annoyance to players,
and ultimately being put on ignore. What I suggest is that they add a mass
override toggle."

And a clear pms button on player and rc. :D

jake13jake 07-15-2006 05:32 AM

How about integrating an override ignore button into the playerlist?

Novo 07-15-2006 08:20 AM

Ugh. NO... No overriding Mass Messages! Ye want to spam me? Go somewhere else! If you absolutely need to mass, use Admin Messages! They arrive to everyone no matter what color they are.

w-hat.. People with RC already override Mass Messages. He is proposing a feature to turn that off.

What I think is that PMs sent from RC should override the Mass Message filter, but PMs sent from the Graal Client should not.

Oh hell yes

Sum41Freeeeek 07-16-2006 05:38 PM

No, don't add an option for the player to ignore overrided messages. Add it to RC.

Crono 07-16-2006 06:08 PM

It's fine the way it is.

Well, adding an option for enabling staff overrides on ignoring mass messages would be good, but adding an option for the staff to use that power or not would be better. It would also be good if RCs were exempt to overridden mass messages. It's usu more important for RCs to be getting PMs.

Sum41Freeeeek 07-17-2006 05:24 AM

Uhm, okay, lets clear this up.
There should be an option in RC weather or not staff want to override messages.
There should not be an option on player to ignore overrided messages.

Crono, are you saying it's okay for me to advertise my business, and have EVERYONE
know what I'm saying, when they don't? You don't seem to understand. The point of
this is so I can mass message to the people that WANT the messages (mass messages
not on ignore) When I need to announce something I can simply click the override
button so everyone can see what I said.

Uh sure, if you're not on tag why not? Graal's been like this for years and years.
