I would like to state something.
I agree with Val on this, when I joined I promised not to pull a Vamp, and now I see why, he uses vile names and when you threaten to punish him he just removes himself from the kingdom and walks free while harassing people on Zormite tag.
I made him an Immigrant and pillored him, and for one I do not want to see him as a Legionnaire within 24 hours of now. He is a pain in the ass to all but... Screw that, he's an ass to everyone. Now, after that fact, Val should agree, he should work his way up instead of being lazy enough to just be set to his old rank because he avoided punishment and somehow always gets back to his status. Enjoy, Deputy Minister. |
I commend you for your use of the forums in the way which I would suspect they were intended - but please, in the future be less vague!

I could give a long lecture here, but long story short, you had no right to readd him to the kingdom just to pillor him. That is a tremendous abuse of power, and if it hasn't been done already, your rights need to be removed or you should be removed from the kingdom. Regardless of your reasons for doing it. If you had a problem with Vamp, you should have spoken with Googi about not letting him be readded. I'm sure you've noticed, Vamp is not exactly your average character. He's very strong, and has very good gear, and has played a vital role in the strife that has taken place within the last few days regarding other kingdoms. Just because he hasn't been in Zormite since he started playing (which he really pretty much has) doesn't mean that he shouldn't have a higher rank. As a matter of fact, he could probably take on and defeat just about every other combat rank below him at the same time, yet he should be a lower rank then them just because he hasn't been in the kingdom for forever? Rethink things. Oh, not to mention I witnessed you repeatedly pillor him the other day. If he is being an ass to you, you definately did nothing but provoke it. |
Bosh, remove Hiatus's pillor rights for a day - I'm officially on my LOA.
Pasu, keep up the work as Justicar. EVERYTHING ELSE I completely agree with 100%. The army should not get special priveleges just because they can take down the Governor. |
Nobody is getting any kind of special privileges.
However, what you did was serious business and could have gotten the entire kingdom in trouble, that's why you were removed from your rank. I told Vamp not to use the kind of names he was using anymore while on tag. |
A noteworthy action, if I may say so.

Note: By checking the pillory logs I saw some of your members abuse the pillory right again and again to warp to Zormite.
I will talk to Björn soon to decide if if we delete them because of this. It's unacceptable if members abuse pillorysrights use it to exempt himself. |
All I'm gonna say is:
Told you Bosh |

Yes. After I told everyone if they abused it it would get removed just like in Etien's day.

I don't care if you want to take pillory rights away from the kingdom since it was just being used as a tool in internal power struggles anyways, but don't show up and accuse people of using it for warping when the logs clearly show repeat jailings/releasings of other people's friends. |

1. a small example from the logs (I removed the acc name): Time: Sun Jun 25 14:58:20 2006 "*******" removed somebody from the zormite-Pillory. Time: Sun Jun 25 14:58:41 2006 "*******" added the Account "*******" in the -Pillory for 1 minutes. Time: Sun Jun 25 14:58:48 2006 "*******" removed somebody from the zormite-Pillory. Time: Sun Jun 25 14:59:19 2006 ******* added the Account "*******" in the -Pillory for 1 minutes. 2. I also send you in my PM the link to a rule which is proof enough that the members didn't follow the rules: Thread It's part of your duty as leader to make sure the members of your kingdom following the rules. |

ive jailed people for a minute and then released them when they are acting like children so they understand that if they keep it up they will get a 60 minute. i do 1, 30, and 60 mins . i dont like them wasting my time. And the problem I have is sometimes not enough pillories. Just because you see 1 minute pillories doesnt mean i'm warping. they could already be on the island and interrupting something I am doing (building ships for kingdom, having people harvest boards, setting up fort things.

Rather than removing them, let kingdom leaders know when people are causing trouble, and we will deal with them accordingly.

I believe the above log could be mine, if not, I did do something of a similar nature on/around sunday, I did this because, as a justicar, i felt i should get used to the arrest/release commands (due to the fact i was/am still rather new as a justicar), however i did NOT want to pillory a random zormite member and therefore decided to pillory myself, the, i believe two, rather rapid pillor/release repetions were to make sure i had it down pat.
As contextual support, regardless of the acct's actual name, the above should be the ONLY times i have pillored myself (with the exception of the time; i didnt do :release fast enough and the minute expired, most likely the earliest occurence); the only other time i pillored someone Bosh released the person. In addiotion i am obviosly rather ignorant for a justicar. In Admittance of this I hope to clear my name of my idiocy of not having done the above under supervison and will accept appropriate consequences and i WILL learn from this mistake... And I'm sorry for the confusion i may have caused. |
you cant unpillor yourself in the pillory can you?
|
Yes.
|
wow that makes it pointless... down with them then
|
They are good when used properly.

I've pillored people, but it's not been for abuse.
If someone gets pissy and starts whining, they gets pillored for a couple minutes. If someone makes our Kingdom look disrepectful in public (Bomboria) and I catch it, they get pillored for a couple minutes. |
