Door.

A door with 7 keyholes I made, like it?

64x98 pixels.

Looks pretty neat. Although the top looks kinda funky. That's probably because you have some parts notched out, meaning you'd have a rather odd door frame. Looks a bit more like a swinging double-door gate to me.

Malinko 06-19-2006 06:22 PM

What is it going to be used for? Or is it just some random door?

If it's being used, let's see what it's being used on. If it's used on default tiles or that Maloria tileset, to me, it won't fit.

I dont know really, I made it for a quest that Xelt is making.. Im going to make 7 keys for it aswell.

Oh.

It's a cool idea though.

Reminds me a bit of the first Prince of Persia game!

If you did some more stylizing to it (designs in it) it would be really awesome. As of not it's just "pretty funky" (which is pretty good, coming from me :D).

I agree, try adding more curly scrolly and golden things.

This has potential. Run with it.

Just click everywhere with a pencil tool in mspaint and it should come out good in about 20 tries...that's usually what I do.

That works for me when I want to draw dots.
meh. Ill show you the kind of things which would make it look cool.
Now i've gone over the top here and the door does not look cool at all, but its the idea and concept of different shapes and gemoetry you can use.
Of course - as with everything good; the idea is not to do too much. Keep it understable and recognisable to the player, but at the same time dont make it dead obvious.

xXziroXx 06-21-2006 03:58 PM

The thing is, Xelt gave me an image and told me "make a door like this in 64x98!" - and so I did.

Except that he wanted 7 keyholes instead of 6, so I had to tweak it a bit.

Redwizard 06-21-2006 04:07 PM

in which case, i say it isa very good pixelling recreation. Well done. Maybe use a truer brown tone for the brown parts?

xXziroXx 06-21-2006 04:09 PM

Hmm, yes - maybe I should do that.

Yea, good job (seriously).

But now I'm demanding you make a revised version, like Red Wizard's door.

Draenin 06-21-2006 05:31 PM

The seam in the middle of the door in the picture is not the same as the one you sprited. In the one you sprited, it only goes 3/4 of the way up, making it look like you'd have to break the door to open it.

Thats because I have to add a 7th keyhole, and its ONE DOOR - it doesnt open *in the middle*
