Cool. :D
Thats one pretty cool switch, dude.
Nice work. |
Thanks Sulukra and Crono. :) This is the first time I've posted something and got no critique yet. ^^ This is awesome.
Well, looks good, but...a question. How long you worked on it until it was finished?
I'm not sure. Could've been around 20 to 30 mins. I was doing other things while working on it. Thanks Magadal.

too much positive feedback is not a good thing. Welcome negativity with open arms, its the only way to improve. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always had. Which is why I tell you to experiment with different shading methods. Though the lineart is good, the method you have chosen to shade the item doesnt work to show the material that the lightswitch is made out of. Whereas a lightswitch is usually made out of a smooth plastic, so your looking at a more straight/less random pixel scattering method of shading. Heres an example, forgive the crudeness.
number 1 has a smoother shading technique, making the material look smooth. number 2 has a rough shading technique making it look weathered. Of course light switches dont usually get placed in an area where it can get exposed to any weather so the need for this wouldnt really be neccassary, unless you plan on adding different colours to make it seem like a rusted steel one maybe. Otherwise it is a nice switch, forgive me if i seem harsh, I do like it, but please please try making it again but using different shading techniques. Re post it here and tell me how it goes. |
:O Hm. You seem like a real good GFXer RW. XD But to just come out of nowhere and rape the forums is weird. PW
Out of no where for those who have not been here for long. I've been away for the past year studying law, business, computing and design & technology. As a result I haven't been able to re upgrade. But as for out of nowhere, theres not many servers that I havent worked on at one point or another.
:O Every forum except for 3 in GA when I logged on ended with you as last post. XD
I kind of like Killerogue's better. Red, yours looks a bit more like a steel box. And besides, who's to say that rogue's lightswitch hasn't been scuffed up a little over the years?
ROFL The light switches in my house are hard to explain. They're like flat and then slant into the wall in the end. Not into the wall but touches them. It's weird. And the switches are much different. XP Thanks for the compliment Draenin.
E: I was trying to get the effect of rounded on the sides and edges. :( |
Yeah. I see that you also did that near the top of the toggle as well. Adds a neat touch to it.
^^ "Neat." XD
...Draenin you missed the point of Reds post o_o
He didn't throw in the graphics saying "this is better" But that A is better than B Anyways Nice, KR :o (can I call you KR?) You're getting better. Nice work in the middle on the actual switch itself. |
:O KR is cool. <3 Thanks.
