Classic False Advertising?
 

The server lister, if you check the server called 'Classic' you'll notice the image shown in the box to the right, with the server information, they show a player with a Birdshot (or Hookshot). I thought this was odd since you cannot actually get this item anymore. Is it right that they're allowed to show such images to players? I don't think so. I've asked to why they have it and if they would change it but all I got was 'I can't' or 'I don't know how'. I motion that the image be removed and something that actually represents the server be used.

It isn't all that serious. x-x Although, im sure they'll change it when they find time to.

Only a global(PWA?) can change the images.

The birdshot exists, and works (yes, it was me posing as 'Cherry Harlot' for the screenshot). It will be a quest item in the future. ^^

Yea, I also just got the laziness out of me to fix transparency errors in the one I made to replace it a month or two ago, *yawn*. The Birdshot will be released in the Forest Quest (a ways to come).

The image has been changed anyway.

You can change the server image with scripts :)

No... the image still has to be uploaded to the login server (as of right now, anyway).

You can change the info of your server on the server list (but not the image at the moment).

Technically the new picture doesn't accurately depict what happens on Classic, get something with everyone AFK in level14 and we'll be set.
Well it is either this or an image of you changing someone's nickname and getting them jailed, but that'd be too incriminating.

Classic is the most hopeless cause ever. Its so obvious no one has a desire in saving it.

Not quite. I would love to work on Classic again, but because of a couple complications, I doubt I'd ever come back, even if they asked.

I couldn't find Classic to be interesting, like, take a nice screenshot.

Therefore, I just went the screenshot archive on the website and took a cool one. Plus, the Burgess Bird is the coolest NPC, ever.

No point to make a stupid forest, to do a stupid quest, for a stupid reason. Stop being stupid. That's not Classic, that's Stupid Classic. Stupid.

It's not always possible to reproduce old quests exactly. Why not jiggle them up some so the whole thing is more coherent. Anyway, dont want another arguement about all that. The Bruges Bird is scripted, and works, so yes, it'll definitely reappear one way or another. ^^

Interestingly, Burgess is the name of a road near here, where about 2 months ago, some pizza shop owner got thier hand sliced when a rival/enemy threatened/attacked them with a samurai sword. :eek:

Bruges' Bird is rescripted? Only the birdshot is rescripted and I can rescript the Birdshot in probably less than 50 lines of code with my movement system (if not less than that).

You all (especially you Malinko) really just need to shut up about Classic. Too bad, its done.. nothing you can do about it and *****ing is not goign to stop anything. Massakore and Master Storm are going to do what they want regardless of your whining.

I support them, and as long as they can find a way to pick up the pace it will be great.

No, you're still LAT Captain. You're one of our best LATs, and do a great job on everything you do. I don't mind if you have something to say because I respect your opinion. Usually the same with Maximus, though he isn't LAT anymore.
