client display error

(already submitted a support ticket, but this is a serious bug)

I get a very strange error when i log into my server.
the level does not load,
and the images/lights perpetuate - when i move the images remain and show again as though the player and images were paintbrushes in a graphics program being used.

the attached image explains it.

other servers work fine. just argos has this error.

i tried using the control panel to restart the gserver and npcserver, no luck.

what would cause this?

another example of how my guy acts like a paintbrush, his individual animations stay on the screen when he moves.
the other bright spots are light effects.

can we fix this now please!

Hi.

Please post the console log within this thread?

You don't happen to be listening to music on graal when it happens are you?

I had a problem with sound drivers failing and freezing graal, then getting an error and get the same look on graal.

Malinko 05-20-2006 04:29 AM

That's quite odd @ Fogles.

What sound card?

Prozac 05-20-2006 04:46 AM

i'm on a laptop. gateway.

how do i know what sound card i have?
and no i was not listening to music when it happened

how do i access the "console log"?

i did not add or remove any software. nothing changed - except how i see only my server. it works fine in the afternoon and in the evening .. kaput

When running GraalOnline or the recent sign on, just look inside the GraalOnline folder for graal4console.log.

Open it with Notepad and attach it here as a text file, or as the .log file itself. Whatever it wished. Perhaps assistance can be provided then.

The same exact thing used to happen to me on Classic ALL the time in the past several months. If I'd log onto one server and then Classic, the other server's tileset would appear and be blurred just like those screen shots you have taken. I have no clue how the problem was resolved, because I tried everything to fix it. It eventually went back to normal. If Stefan reads this, he already knows what my gfx card is.

Here is a screen shot from Classic when I had just logged off of NP. It isn't blurred, but it would have if I had moved around.

Must be missing tileset or problems with loading the tiles, any error in the F2 window?

Prozac 05-21-2006 12:48 AM

I found what was wrong.
the support ticket is 2016-6420050203

Ibonic should be sending you the files, submited by my events person, that caused this error to happen. If I reinstall Graal to a different folder, it works. And if I load that level that caused the error again, I can break the new install - it is a bug that can be reproduced.

Like I said: missing tileset lbtileset.png

Happens to me if, while the first PM is loading (takes a while for me) I press the X on the graal window.
