Where are the Kingdoms Items?

Hello!

Few month ago I read, that it should be possible soon to add Kingdoms Items, which cannot be dropped, are removed on Kingdom Leave, and possibly could go back into the property of the Kingdom again then.

Has anything been done? I even think that I can renember that it was somehow announced by Stefan.

It would be good to see those Items soon, to benefit Members for RP without them selling the Items for lots of Dias a week later to improve the recognition for good rpers and longtime Kingdom members.

Yeah, I remember this too. It was especially concerning kingdom cloaks. Whatever happened to that? People even made GFX for 2 or 3 of the kingdoms.

ViperZakuto 05-11-2006 12:54 PM

Yeah Draxx has a pretty good set of forest gear. He made a whole set just cause. Helmet, Shield, Boots, belt, Bracers, Gloves, Sword, Cloak, and an ammy. We have been waiting for this to come out for a while. even if it's only one of those things, we would like to be able to give kingdom members something!

Yeah but then those items shouldnt have too special stats, otherwise that might be overpowered, because currently all kingdoms items are good in a way.

Draenin 05-11-2006 04:07 PM

I've been wondering about this same thing myself. A lot of people were discussing how Kingdom items would be limited only to people who are in them, so why hasn't this happened yet?

Because stefan needed the time to work on era and new bomboria?

Draenin 05-11-2006 04:20 PM

It isn't that hard to implement that sort of system, and it was even said to be enabled for usage, but it hasn't so far. And if you're pushing for this, Darklux, then why are you going against yourself now?

Darklux 05-11-2006 04:21 PM

Iam not really pushing, but it was announce nearly half a year ago or so...

dNeonb 05-11-2006 07:48 PM

We said we will work on it. But we did not say it will be avisible in a few weeks that time, Darklux.

Now the system is there. We currently use it for some Events Master items, too.

It's more a discussion about the problem with the stats for new kingdom items.

It's been months.

Why can't it be enabled for the kingdom items we have available currently, though?

Thats nice to hear, iam sry about my earlier declaration.

My idea for this:
Only Armors, Shields, Swords, Cloaks and Helmets should be Kingdom Items
The stats should orientate to alchemy items, at cloaks to the better non-event cloaks
(Those Items are there to show that you are a proud and longtime Member and should have nothing to do with being good because you have them)

I think I already said we did not say that time we will release it in a few weeks. It was just an idea that time and nothing that was definitely planned.

No this is not possible because there are people who bougth this shields and are not in the kingdom. This is fair.

Okay, so tell me, how do you plan on remedying this problem if we are to someday have this implemented and functional? I understand it's just an idea, but if it does happen, what do you think the best step to take would be?

dNeonb 05-11-2006 07:58 PM

Remove the kingdomnames of those and make them event shieelds that can be given out in events. ((Well, this is just the current idea we talk about))

Draenin 05-11-2006 07:59 PM

I think I can offer a better solution than to take them away from players and re-event them.

I said can and not have to be or are really going to be given out again, or?

You said to take them away from player and re-event them. I never said anything about taking them from players nor re-eventing them out.

I only said that we can event those out in normal events then and they are not limited to any kingdom anymore.

Draenin 05-11-2006 08:10 PM

So, every kingdom item created thus far will have to be scrapped for new ones if this happens? That's not a bad idea if all the stats stay the same on them, but the names are removed. This could make room for new craftable items in kingdom Joineries, and give us a chance to have kingdom items with balanced stats. :]

I'm all for that idea.

That's the biggest problem :/

CidNight1142 05-12-2006 07:12 AM

Like lux said, set their stats at the power of alchemy type items or regular cloaks. There is no reason why kingdom items should be powerful other than the tradition of past kingdom items, which are all pretty much overpowered.

Raeiphon 05-12-2006 07:24 AM

In muh bellay.

Yes there is. If you can't equip the item other than when you're in that kingdom and on-tag, why shouldn't they be just about as powerful? You'll only be using them for a short amount of time anyway, since nobody seems to see a reason to be on-tag anymore.

Ehm, noone ever said those kingdom items will be the most powerful items x_x

Even if you set low stats there has to be a balance between the kingdoms...

ApothiX 05-12-2006 02:25 PM

And you people wonder why Stefan never announces things he's working on to you.

sage_scooby 05-12-2006 02:58 PM

I say just make em all equal in stats. Then there is no issue on who has better stuff. Always give out the same amount and same things when giving them out. Just make it all equal.

I also like the idea of renaming current kingdom items and eventing off more maybe.

Butz 05-12-2006 03:22 PM

Or you could always just make the kingdom items LOOK good, but have them basically be a skin over the current items a player is actually wearing.

That's what I was trying to get at, Bjorn. And what Sage said as well. If all the kingdoms get a shield, make them all the same thing, perhaps with power equivalent to a HSoD or an Ice Shield, and then give out equal amounts to each of the kingdoms.

exactly, finally someone said it =P

He said he is gonna rename the current shields and make them event prizes. At least thats what I got from the message. That would be the best idea. They keep the same look, same stats, and the same owners. They just change the name =D

Darklux 05-13-2006 03:16 PM

Yeah Viper thats exactly what he said.. I wish more people had the ability to read instead of writing pointless posts in serious threads.

You got the idea.

Zero Hour 05-14-2006 10:12 PM

I'm sorry, I won't deny that I may have followed incorrectly - but couldn't you (if it hasn't been suggested yet) just make new items which only kingdom members can wear, and leave the older kingdom items which everyone can wear to become rare and then eventually die?

:x

I thought that atleast you would have the ability to read what björn writes xD because that fits it basiucally, except that old kingdom items will probaply be renamed and given out in events or in ec shop.

I believe Zero can read, and merely suggests NOT renaming them or giving them out. Those items, for some at least, are signs of loyalty to a kingdom. I was a Dustarian for three years when I got my Dustari Shield. Somehow it just cheapens the work I did to get it if suddenly it's just a Red Knight's Shield that you can craft for fifteen event coins and a stack of gold nuggets.

Darklux 05-15-2006 12:00 AM

They are no sign of loyalty anymore, only for a really short percentage of owners of those shields. Thats exactly the problem of those items.

So? Shouldn't the original intent of the shields, coupled with even a few examples of this intent, supercede the desire to devalue these items?

Who said he was going to devalue the items? He never said put them in ec shop either. he said maybe hand them out in events. you think that would devalue them? If he controls the release of the items, which he more than likely will, the items should stay around the same price. if he releases none they will just be really rare.

on a side note I think all items should be devalued on GK.

This is correct. I never said this is going to happen. I just said it would be possible.
