Setting MAC ID instead of IP?
 

Can someone remind me how to set an RC's computer ID, instead of an IP address?

Yes, just mix and match as appropriate.

Is their even a point for ip, if you can use pc now?

and wierdly, I used 2 pc ids, and it didn't wrk for the second one lol

I think it is a bug.

Do /openaccess <accountname>, you will see the computer id at the caption of the window. There is still a point to use the ip range - a fixed ip is more secure than a computer id since it can physically be checked.

yeah.. that's totally stupid and pointless.. it doesn't change, it is what it is. And every computer has different ones aswell, but their assigned directly from graal I believe.

If you are in favour of this, then I cannot think of one reason why you would want to.

If you are against this and checking for confirmation, then I wholly agree that there should not be a way to and I hope that wildcards do not work with PC IDs!

I've tried it on three people, they couldn't log on.

I'm not saying I would want wildcards, I was simply asking if it was possible. A simple yes or no would have sufficed, calm down.
