overwriting letters.png
1 Attachment(s)
i was server-visiting on random places last night
and one of them overwrote my letters.png in graal\levels\letters. was it that one that starts with Tear? maybe. but please dont overwrite default files, call them like letters_tear.png or something. attached is the letters.png that overwrote the default one. |
Bad! BAD!
That is why I tell all of my staff (Two people, yay!) to only upload gfx with projectx_ at the start! :) Else Malinko will have my head eventually. :( |
Thanks for the report, Prozac. It's appreciated. I'll check it out and have whatever world doing this re-name the file.
Haha @ Link3001. |
I feel so bad now, one of my staff members submitted this, I knew about it, it was up for a night before I caught it and changed it, I'm SO sorry about this!! It has been changed already, and I hope this does not effect anyone, there were multiple copies of it in different folders, one of them had the name 'letters, png' and I missed it. Once again, I am very sorry about this, it has been repaired, and there shouldn't be any problems in the future! (That's an older form of the current letters, thats how I know that it was the one I missed).

Thanks, excaliber7388, no harm done.
Though, I don't see how Dark Rival and a world remembered as, "Tear" are related. I'm guessing someone didn't check the signs until one was looked at on some other world, when it became noticeable. Edit: For those who have letters.png replaced, here is the image so the original can be obtained again. You could re-download files from the update tab, but I guess this is easier. |
That doesn't look like the original heart?

The file from the updates tab on the v4 client is modified, thus not being the original. I'm in class, so I don't have that file, so I'll attach the other when I'm at home. |
It stops appearing black if you click on it to see it at it's full size. I was thinking the same thing, but often images go funny at different sizes like that.
|
You're right...although the black and read don't look so bad XD
|
thanks!
although when browsing through the letters folder, i decided to set the graal2002letters.png that was in there as my letters.png, casue the scroll appearance for signs looks nicer than the default. |

as paying customers, i think we all should have access to the rules and guidelines and consequences/rewarts that the PWA has to follow and adhere to, so that we may know what standards are held to in cases like this, or even more serious infringments, or benevolent gestures.

This isn't just a problem with letters that i've seen people have been using emoticon_ images and it's replaced a few default emoticons like emoticon_Yummy.png but it's a different file name but still shows i tried deleting and it still wont show the old image.
|
Oh yeah, I forgot what the original graphic for it was. That was UNs doing I believe.
At least I was on UN when I noticed the change |
Ah, right, replacing default files is not good.
I have that emotion on the client I use too, no clue where it's from, I've been looking for a few weeks not, deleting caches and files. Of course, I do not think it's a world's fault. Last week, WiKKiD, the Administrator on Unholy Nation uploaded an image called, "emotion_look*.png" or a file similiar to that. Notice, it has "emotion_l*.png". This replacing the Control L laughing emotion. We tested it with other letters, such as "emotion_sneeze.png" and it replaced the Control S smile emotion. I think if worlds want to make their own emotion, it is needed to have the world name in the file name, such as, "unholynation_emotion1.png" or so. I'll report this bug to Stefan and keep further testing of it. Thanks though. |
