Help!

Everytime I level up, my HP is the only thing that changes. No Spell Point or Grace increases, none of my stats change, and the my scrolls of strength only raise my strength from 18 to 20 temporarily. How on earth can I make my stats, spell points, and grace change and to make the changes stay?

P.S. Is there a better way to make money than bread at level 5?

Well, first you need to gain an understanding of the Kingdoms leveling system. There are several "areas" in which you can level. Physical (probably what you've been leveling), magic, wisdom, personality, and agility. To gain grace or spell points you must level wisdom and magic, respectively. To do this, kill monsters with grace or spell point based magic, again respectively. To increase your "strength" and other stats, you must drink potions gotten with gold keys, but only until you get to 20 with each stat. After that you must use equipment to raise those stats.

As for the money issue, its tough at that sort of level. Once you get a few more levels higher start going to the haunted houses or killing trexs. That will let you gain experience and make money at the same time.

Renamed the title and removed to GK main forum.

Actually, I've done more farming than fighting *laughs*. My mental's at level 4 while my physique is at 3. As for the wisdom issue (I don't plan to do much spell casting, for I'm a warrior), do I have to kill stuff with prayer, or can I pray all prayers to to gain wisdom experience?

P.S. Thanks for the compliment.

You need to kill monsters with the prayers (e.g. cause wounds). You will find sometimes improvement potions (little blue bottles) in shops. Buy and drink them, they will increase your skills randomly.

The prayers you kill enemies with need to be offensive skills, such as cause light / medium / critical / serious wounds. To increase mana, you need to use spells that use mana.

The best way to increase mana would be to start killing with something like Magic Bullet.

After you've increased your mana points a little bit, something like icestorm becomes more effective for wiping out groups of monsters.

Large bullet still seems more effective for single targets though.

What's a good starter prayer to buy?

P.S. Money's hard to get X_X...

Cause light wounds

Faital_Ryu 04-10-2006 07:24 PM

Thought so. I've bought that prayer twice and I failed to learn it both times. Horrible, isn't it? Would it be wise to buy an item that increases wisdom before I buy another Cause Light wounds and read it?

Intelligence improvement items are what are going to help you learn scrolls and the like.

I've noticed in my times of learning almost all the spells of GK. When I was learning wisdom spells, If I equipped Wis+2 rings it helped me learn wisdom spells better than int+ rings. When it comes to learning magic spells, Int + rings seem to work best. When it comes to learning alchemy recipes, You just have to have a high enough mental level to learn the recipe. I've never failed an alchemy recipe. This is the way it has always worked for me. Int never really helped as much as wis did for learning wisdom spells.

Any clue how much wisdom rings would cost and where to get them?

You can fail recipes? I don't recall that being possible.

Well, I don't really know how much they would cost, a wisdom +1 ring maybe costs around 600 plat that i remember. and a Wis +2 ring is around 2k i think. Tanarthia, Hotaru, Bogenera, and every now and then a ring pops up in hirathia. Oh yeah I think the shop in Cove Town has two ring spots. The rings are random so just keep checking those shops avery now and then and you should find the wis+ and int+ rings. Good luck on your search.

Thanks, ViperZakuto. ^^
