Base 3, Spawn Point?

Why not make base 3 a spawn base? That way, since it has a very centralized location, there can acutally be a battle for something that is vital to the rest of the game's outcome.

Also, a Rocket launcher idea:

RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade)
Method of Aim: Mouse
Rate of fire: Same as Rocket Launcher
Speed: Same as Rockets
Ammo: 20, Not increasable, Homing
Class: Heavy Infantry, Defender
Damage: 15
Range: 3/4's that of the Rocket Launcher

Special Conditions: Only fired from friendly spawn points.

As you can see, if Base 3 is made into a spawn point, and this idea is implemented, it would make the game more interesting.

ummm........how....?

no, thats a cool idea!

it would be sweet rpg and B3 thing!

For starters, say Person A is it at Base 3 and Person B is at Base 1. Both are on Sweep_Fleet.

Person C, who is on Storm_Riders, approaches Base 3 on a speeder bike, and is trying to get to Sweep_Fleet's home base.

Person A Shoots at him with his RPG, heavily damaging the bike and causing Person C to try to go past Base 1 instead.

Person A radios to Person B where Person C is headed to. Person A immediately starts firing his RPG, knowing it will follow Person C.

Person C gets hit by Person B's RPG, loses his bike, and is swarmed over by Persons D through Z.

That's just one of the many things. You could lead people past Base 3 after laming A team's base so that a couple of people on Base 3 could use their RPGs To wipe out the rest of the group.

ALso, the RPG blast would kill bikes in 3 shots, and would also have a slightly smaller blast radius.

RPG would be better as more of a cr90 thing from the old ghost recon games - a hybrid smg and grenade launcher.

RPG
2 slot
Shot S: 11 dmg, 0.4 delay, consumes 1 of 250 ammo per shot, can pass through some walls, 12tps
Shot D: 35 dmg, 0.6 delay, consumes 20 of 250 ammo per shot, fires a .3 elevated shot (half of the mortar's height) in the direction you're facing, can be detonated in the air by pressing D again. Detonation in the air lowers the dmg by 35%, 18 tps (extremely fast, irpulsar is 13tps)

Sulukra already suggested an RPG, WAY back.

i was thinking, what if you could spawn from any base you have caught, this would make the battles more intense in my opinion.

I remember suggesting an RPG launcher, no one really payed much attention to it. Mine was basically can be fired anywhere, slows you down, and it uses grenades. Basically the grenade starts off slow and then gains alot of speed. Mainly it was just a good way to waste grenades.

Speed and damage should be doubled, it would ward off lamers VERY fast.

That's what I was thinking originally, but then I thought of the RPG, and couldn't see a way it would be fair. Plus, unless more people play Zone, or Iricia for that matter, then it would defeat the purpose of guarding a spawn point because there would be 5 :\

theHAWKER 03-31-2006 02:34 AM

i still think that it's a cool idea
