Ricochet, Again!
 

Hi, a long time ago a few friends and I (Jerom, Phoenix Knight, Harry, Thrashsoul) worked on a western themed server, Ricochet. Chatting on AIM with a few of the old staff members it looks like we are going to revive our old treasure. I have recovered most of the old files including the tileset and o ther images and will soon be posting in the hiring thread looking for help (if you think you can help now, just let me know). A main idea we are trying to implement is a hotkey system for weapons/items, so quests and combat and other various things. More information will be released soon, but for now here are some of the old screenshots I posted a while back. Note all of our graphics will be improved I just want some general feedback and to show you what we are all about.

ALSO: WE ARE CURRENTLY IN NEED OF A PLAYERWORLD HOST. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PARTITION A PORTION OF YOUR PW TO US OR IF YOU ARE WILLING TO FUND OUR SERVER, YOU WILL BE THANKED VERY MUCH AND WILL EVENTUALLY BE REWARDED WITH A POPULAR SERVER YOU OWN.

Possibly a little pointless now that ol' west is about?

Might be interesting, the tiles need work but as you said you just recovered them.
And is Ol West still in production? I worked there a long time ago and thought it had come to a halt.

If that's the case Ol West should consider donating the tiles, if they aren't going to use them, as they are basically like we see here but of a better quality. So it'll save time if they don't have to remake them!

Yeah, while making these tiles, we had no specific "graphics" staff, we just all chipped in. This time I will be looking for specific people to do the tileset. From what I have heard Ol' West is not in production anymore, and Djinn really does not want to start it back up. If he was willing to donate his tiles to us that would be great, but either way will be fine as I have confidence in the people whom I ask to work for me to produce a masterpeice of a tileset.

Tig is the owner of Ol' West, though I think he was global banned.

The original creator, hidro (that's the account) has returned and is asking to re-claim the project.

That's from what I know about it as of recent, perhaps last week ago this was the case.

Malinko, hidro is Djinn, whom I mentioned earlier. He said he was considering bringing it back, but his GFX person has his own server now, and he would need someone to fill a big hole.

Ol' west was Sage, Djinn and my server. Which I guess they are also talkin about getting up, in which case I will be joining them.
We talked about makin a western server and had it the majority of the graphics up in atleast 3 days... which was if I am correct the first western server on graal?
Also Djinn, I havnt talked to him. I would be more than happy to work for him again now that i'm much better than I was when the first Ol' west was created.

Now im excited... if this actually will happen then we will own. You thought you liked us then.. ha.

Well, he has requested to own it once again, which I asked Stefan and it was allowed. I gave him RemoteControl access. :):)

Perhaps we could work a merger out, I don't see the point in two western servers and yours is more developed.

Competition between worlds is good. :):)

You guys know Tig paid 100-200$ to gain control of Ol' West, right?

And why was tig banned :O

Between several of the same genre is good, but when you have 2 pretty original ideas such as ours, then the exceptionally good staff get split up. Why not combine and make the best possible?

Though, to answer the question, I'm not suggesting it. I'm just saying, competition is good.
