Scripter needed, RTS project.

Competant scripters interested in a revolutionary server design needed to write new movement and combat systems, as well as in depth character development systems, server ranking, and a data based as opposed to level based map.

Seriously protagonist.. ****.

I had a real baisic RTS done on Enigma back even before GS2.. (no AI.. but it was baisic) So shut up, its entirely possible if he can find talented enough scripters.

He's correct, though.

There are already many RTS engines that were designed specifically with real-time strategy in mind. The Graal engine is versatile, but suffers in that it is not really good enough to compete with other genres and even have a prayer of being successful. It would be like making a first-person shooter in Graal (not using the torque thing). Sure, it probably could be done, but it would be ridiculously tedious to create, sub-par in quality, and nobody would play it.

I'm sure it's possible, but it still would never work. As I said, I could go pirate Warcraft 1 and I would get a better RTS than Graal could probably manage. I welcome you to try and prove me wrong.

Explain how it would be of subpar quality? The only way I view that has a possibility is if the people who make it are of subpar skills.

How do you know what graal can manage? The code will only be as good as those who write it.

On a side note, hey Raelyn/Frolic

Explain how it wouldn't be of sub-par quality. Can it compete with WC3, or even WC2? How about Starcraft? Those are what "par" is nowadays, and you aren't going to get anywhere with anything less.

That's an obscene comment to make. If GScript is so good, why doesn't Blizzard use it as an engine for their games?

do you know the blitzball recruiting system in FFX? just like that. there are unique looking and named npc civilians all around the world that you talk to, recruiting them into your ranks.

You can even buy them equipment to wear and train them as they level up as they win battles.

players can upload their own clan crest and have their warriors wear it as they ride into battle!

I'd like to add that I no longer have Gold on this account, so I am throttled on the forums.

If you wish to learn more, contact me via the methods I state in the first post.
