canceling scheduleevent

how do you cancel an event scheduled with scheduleevent?

i thought cancelevents but it doesnt seem to work.

any idea?

I would think the cancelevents(eventname) function would do it. It says in the wiki that it should. Like scheduleevent(0.5,"event"); would invoke onEvent(), so I would think that cancelevents("event"); should work.
