Nation of...
Well, again me and Tempist have a fool-proof idea this time, that will not turn out horribly complicated like the GKHL (Which will still happen eventually..)
Well, here we go. On one of the Islands on Main, perferably the island of Balor, or the unused island to the east of Hotaru, we plan to make a "temporary kingdom." We will have events designated for this kingdom, and you will have a set roll, and play as that roll while in the event. Say every 2nd Saturday an event will be planned with sub-par prizes, which will be played from who shows up. What we currently need is a name to differenciate this "temporary kingdom" from the rest. I was thinking of an orc kingdom or a troll kingdom, but we are unsure at the moment. I have shouted a couple name ideas, and heres what I got, "Nation of Uldral." If you would ever be so kind, could you post some ideas of what could happen on this "roleplay island" or some names of the "temporary kingdom," also please keep them tasteful. Also, this could help not just "oldbies," but also "newbies" as this could help EVERYONE learn to roleplay, and distinguish themselves as not another "LOLSWORDWARRIOR." Again, me and Tempist thank you, and we hope to see a bit more participation this time. and not just by "oldbies," but also "newbies" as this could help EVERYONE learn to roleplay, and distinguish themselves as not another "LOLSWORDWARRIOR." Also, when Gryffon trolls this, maybe he could help out cause I know for sure he is a guy full if ideas, **If he is willing to help out graal kingdoms anymroe** |
Call it Karakaze Troupe.
Yeah, that would suck. |

Orcs and goblins, ICly, are technically members of the Forest Confederation. The problem is no one has ever chosen to RP as one (Brad never seemed to make the transition complete). As such, I think perhaps more of a tribal confederation of Forest's disenfranchised "monster" races could provide some interesting options. Unite this little subkingdom (the most apt term of Graal's RPing vernacular for this idea, I suppose) and allow players the basic gambit of choices. Roles could include the brutish but wise Orcs, clever and shrewd Goblins, maybe even some creatures like Imps or Sprites. All in all, a very diverse group united by a common appreciation for nature and fierce, unconvoluted morality. The name? Well, I guess there's about a billion possibilities. Buzak, Ogani, Sivre, Tokka, Kalesh, Gra'zek...I dunno. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. |
I talked to Tempist today and it seems we have something planned in the near future, close to a few weeks.
We are unassure of what/how/who/where/when this will happen, but I am sure Alan is all for what is planned. Tempist told me that Alan was asking about this "raid" upon the kingdom of CP. Heres our first planned event. ------------------------------------------ 1:00 PM Saturday March..? -War Preparations Begin. 3:00 PM Saturday March..? -The race of the kingdom of ... has been pilaged and destroyed, the few who survived the battle with the pirates seek vengence. It was been weeks and the boats are ready to storm the islands of CP. --------------------------------- Theres our first planned event, where this "temperary" kingdom battles CP in a battle that does not change what is happening with the rest of the kingdoms. |
Glad to see this became more then just Tempist being bored and getting together some people to raid CP for no apparent reason haha. Sounds like fun, looking forward to it.

Who's Tempist?

This would require staff part to do, but this would definately make this a lot more fun/easier, and would leave room for future events.
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4...yisland4mg.png Just incase you cant read it, heres a legend. RED - SHIP MAKING PINK - SHIP YARD YELLOW - LUMBER MILL ORANGE - TOWN GREEN - DOCKS ---------------------- To make this simpler I will discribe why this would make this a lot easier. SHIP MAKING - Rather than going to west bomboria and taking the ships all the way to the island, you could simply make them there. SHIP YARD - It has been talked about, but this can be used as both the public ship yard, and as the roleplay ship yard. This would make it easier to stock ships for future events. LUMBER MILL - Lumber gets heavy when carrying lots of it for ship creation. To simplify this for the beginners who will be taking part in the event, a ship making area should be put onto this island. TOWN - The town should contain just simple things such as a well, bread making, and things such as cards ect. It would also open up the roleplay aspect of needing to make food for the sailors, and warriors. DOCKS - Due to you are only able to get to this island by boat, docks should be put into play to make it a little easier to get on/off the island. I would love bjorn/stefan to do this, it would definately spark some events into kingdoms, and also bring back the "roleplay" aspect. Work is involved, but it will keep the nagging "EVENTZ PLZ BJORN WE BORDED." Thanks. OasaTor Tempist |
Maybe when it is not used for Roleplaying events, Kingdoms can battle against each other for control of the town? I think that having towns that kingdoms can compete against for would be great for RP purposes as well as your idea.
I really think it would be nice if something like what Oasa and Temp have thought up. Would be great for RPing. |

It has been decided.
The Dev'irr Empire Years ago, on a foggy day sirens arise.. Everyone is called to arms, as the bells grow louder. The sound of these bells, the ships of the Pirates... As the day grew longer, the people of Dev'irr were desimated. The pirates had destroyed the island, leaving it barren and charred. Except for the few who managed to escape to safety in Hotaru, everyone was gone. These few seeked vengence for their forefathers who lost their lives fighting off Pirates. The plan, rebuild the island and attack the land of the Pirates! Many unsuccessful raids have been repelled, untill this day. We shall call this... The day of the Drow. As we prepare with this day, we are blessed to have the help of the locals of Bomboria, who will fight with us, and will help us defeat these Pirates! ::Vrael pulls out a piece of paper:: 3/18/06 ------- Sinse the war between the Pirates had broken out, numerous attempts to destroy the pirates has been attempted. As of this day, we declare war! All personnel is to start ship building and stock up on supplies, the days ahead of us will be tough. 1:00PM (CST) -Building of ships commenses, along with supplies such as cannon balls ect. 2:00PM (CST) -Crews are made. 2:15PM (CST) -The seas of main are flooded of Dev'irr ships as we head off to the land of the Pirates. 2:25PM (CST) -Boat battle 2:45-3:00 (CST) -After the boat battle, land is sieged by the 2nd wave. [Continues the following saturday.] ----------------------------------------------- That is it, the Kingdom is a Drow Kingdom. You may roleplay as a human or as a drow, but you musn't roleplay as your current character for Forest, Dustari, ect. To compete in the ground battles, you must be BMODE, you may be either BMODE or PMODE for the ship battles, but BMODE would be recommended. |
Ugh, horrible, almsot no one on Graal can properly rolepay as a Drow, I think that was one of the major factors of banning them.

And suddenly, an idea of moderate promise descends to the deepest reaches of stupidity.
The Drow, by all accounts, shouldn't exsist in any IC fashion. The Drow are, and will continue to be, tainted by the efforts of several thousand idiot Roleplaying wannabes from across the genre's history, not to mention the supremely degenerative efforts of one Etien Debaglio. |
THE EVENT WILL BE STARTING IN 40 MINUTES.
RANK SETUP KING - Kindressil - Teiz'Nezl GENERAL - Genteril - Deziel Kez'iek CAPTAIN - Capeteril - Kyz-Nel Kez'iek LEUTENANT GENERAL - Leuzil-Genteril - BOSH MAGE - Mag'eil PRIEST - Prei'Ziel WARRIOR - Tei'Zael |
This day is to go down into history, the day the Drows of De'Virr have attained a peice of the pirates. The head of their retired Captain, Sam. The De'virr has suffered more damage, than the pirates, but the head of Sam is well worth more than a single drows life.
The day started with the De'virr building ships and boats, only to be struck by some over eagre pirates who were then killed by the leader of the Drows himself. As the De'virr entered the seas of the pirates, here is where the pirates had taken casulties. 6 manned ships sank, 3 by the Kindressil, and Leuzil-Genteril. In total, 9 pirates were lost at sea, with only 2 De'virr drows lost. The land is where the pirates dominated, the castle well protected. The drows had no chance against such powerful warriors. As the battle went on, both sides took deaths, but in total the Pirates had desimated this fragment of the De'virr Army... ----- Within the next 2 weeks, me and Tempist will be stacking up with more people to play on the De'virrs side. Hopefully people can listen to the rules this time and understand its everyone vs. CP, and not any allies. The second wave of the Drow will be much larger and more prepared, and most definately un-planned :] That means alan, no-pre planning to the pirates land hehe. Good event guys, I hope to have just as much fun next time as this time! |
History is written by the victors, not the losers.
There are some incoherences in your history. First of all, the pirates performed a preemptive strike in which they successfully sunk 2 ships. When the enemy began to cast large waves of magic, the pirate ship retreated, its crew badly wounded ((I think I had like 10 hp left X_X and so did Damix)). They managed to take cover below deck, and the ship suffered minor damage. It was repaired back in CP. De'Virr ships only barely managed to enter the crescent when they were decimated. Remember that the Pirates rule the seas. Everyone knows that! The De'Virr did, however, fight bravely, relentlessly pursuing victory. In the end, they were forced to retreat, their army mangled by CP's fierce warriors. ------ Other than that, this event kicked ass and took names! Thanks Oasa and Temp for planning this! I'm sure we all look forward to more of this event! |

Other then Grir, what allies? |
Aye, thanks for the fun everyone. This was a good event, with good sportsmanship on both sides and I look forward to more of the same!
As for the sea battle, the only thing left at the end of the battle were 6 Pirates ships patrolling the seas - so I would call that a decisive victory. I know of two Pirate ships sunk, and two were abandoned when the land battle started. And that squares, since we started with ten. I think you will need to bring more boats next time, to have a shot at winning the boat part. Although, just doing your best (not winning) is what it's all about and your guys gave a good spirited fight, well done. Whatever the result, I was just happy and proud to see all the CP mates come out and rally around their kingdom and Governor, to make such a strong showing. Well done Pirates! |
omg..i missed it. :-(
|
It was quite a fun event. I stayed out at sea for the whole thing, so I'd say that we won the ship part of the battle. Sure, they captured a few of our ships and I was taken hostage once, but it all worked out because whenever they took hostages or ships, we'd save or sink the ships.
