Chibi Development
 

Ok, well i have'nt pixeled in a long time, no assignments D:
Anyways, i thought id make some chibi bodies, and this is what ive gotten so far, ive been trying to use less colours as possible for a cell shaded feel.

I might start using programs other than MS Paint which is pixel by pixel, and creating colour palletes is a pain.

So here it is,

I think clothes will work well for this :P If i actually finish.

It actually looks completely crap, i had it looking good earlier x_X And then i added more detailing and it's gone pillow shaded. Ugh, failure.

Honestly, I don't like it.
As you said Tom, it looks like crap.
I find MSPaint to be my best friend, it is the only thing I pixel in.
On pixelation there was a Chibi Template that everyone did their own interpretation of...if I can find it I will throw it up here.

ELK! :D...Tom, a few problems...what's with it's mouth? it's a big ass black line x_x and the chest like mussels and stomach mussels...i don't think babies get those x.x :(...but maybe i'm wrong? x_x

lol, I pillow shaded it to much, and i was going for a simple outline because i was going to sprite it.
Also, that's not it's mouth, its chibi style, there is'nt a mouth yet lol Also, it;s not a baby xD


It's a shame i did'nt save an the older version's, they had less colours, about 2 shadows colours, 1 base colour and 1 colour for bright areas.

I don't like it. I think it's the idea, I can't see it going anywheres - I don't even like Goboom's chibi.

Not sure what you mean by going anywhere heh
But i've always found chibis hard to get around, something about them. I called it Chibi Development, so i can post the stages as i work and hopefully figure out how chibis work, as i add more things it wont look so...Whatever it is now lol.

I think the nappy's the best part though xD

I dunno, something about it just bothers me, like....it reminds me of some demonic little thing, like a Chucky doll. I think it's the face really. It just looks so....demented.

Not that it's really poorly constructed or anything, but it just doesn't look like what I've come to consider Chibi-style art.
