GUI and gIRC stuff
 

here are 2 things:

1) does anyone know how to make a gui window flash, like how AIM windows do when you have a message and its minimized?

2) is there a way to log off the built-in F8 IRC chat? i made a client for manarealms but every players nick will be such and such_2 :-\

So.. can this be fixed! thanks

1) not sure what you mean, you could display a new image/showimg or so when the message appears?
2) the IRC script is not built-in, it's added on the login server, so it's possible to add an option to not login / disable the F8-irc thing on special servers, like player.disabledefaultirc = true ?

1) in windows at least.. windows/items in start menu 'flash' (flash between the way the window looks selected and not selected) when told to.

this would be good for my chat script if players minimize it so i can make it flash when they get a message.

showing an image would be silly, taking up too much space. trying to showimg that looks like the gui is flashing would be tedious.. would be better if the gui command was there x_x

2) that would be good i think.. so all the players wouldnt have a _2 in their name.

also.. isnt the textlines for the login option supposed to set nickname? i was trying to set everyone who was logged in on the in-game (one i made) chat to InGame_whatevertheirnickwas but it set it automaticly. no way to set nickname for the player and it just checks the nickname database (or whatever) to see if its valid or not.. if not puts a _2 or whatever like it does now? just checking...
