Inspection Reports
 

The Playerworld Administration used to release public reports here in the forums for inspections. I believe this is generally missed and would be largely appriciated by the community.

However, seeing as I am not the Playerworld Admin I will make this thread a poll that is set to close in 7 days, and if the majority sees it fit, I believe all team members will agree to re-implementing this policy!

It should be noted though, due to the large ammount of inspections we get we are only going to be making posts for passing worlds and near misses with things they need to fix.

I think the inspection reports should be on the forums since everyone can see how the server is.

Yeah, it was nice to see what was happening in the development world, and it also will show people whether or not the PWA are getting their job done.

It will definatly cause people to work more if they see that they were a "Near-Miss" or if they log on the forum one day and see they were a Pass

That's a valid point.

Mind you this would be more of an inspection "report card" kind of thing for close to standards worlds, rather than a "Hey, you failed badly and you need to fix all these things" embarassment kind of situation.

But nonetheless, it would be completely voluntary and we could remove it if they object.

A simple solution to that is the following :

When applying for the inspection, just have a simple Yes/No question saying something like "Is it okay to have the inspection made public if we feel nessicery?" or something like that..

I think we should have them back, I liked them. More interesting threads on the forums, they are kind of boreing tyhese days. :(

It would also draw attention to new servers. I'm all for it.

You should write a review on Graal Bomy.

Thats why I like to see them. Even if the review is bad someone may see something they like in the server.

plus, for owners of servers, they may be able to check progress on the inspections, and possibly correct the problems ahead of time, or use mistakes other servers made, and learn form them.

Playerworld inspections should be posted on the Graal Bible ;)

No, because everyone will be able to edit it and I think is going to be a big problem. So a "not passed" can be edited to a "passed" etc.

The software allows pages to be locked.

True, and I think due to the overwhelming popularity of the idea, that we should expect to see some reports in the future (...but what do I know? :D) For those who don't want theirs posted, they could always request that it isn't posted. But I think it would be beneficial, and would help starting servers get staff and players.

I'm pretty sure that to be inspected for the Hosted/Classic tabs, you have to already have a server going.

The point of the hosted tab is to get a larger staff and playerbase, it really helps a lot.
