Ammy of Reflect Spells

Instead of it "semi-working", how about you make it so it reflects all spells. And if people complain that it'll make you too powerful, then make it more rare and a lot more expensive.

It wouldn't be "too powerful", it would make mages completely powerless.

Then it should be as rare as the RoW.

An RoW is just powerful. It doesn't completely protect you against an entire class of players and god worshippers. I can't really do this argument justice, although I'd imagine some of the resident GK mages like Draenin will come in and clean this up.

If you made it completely reflect all spells, you might as well just reduce Magic to pretty colors and flashing lights. I think at most it should have a 15-20% chance to reflect any spell that's thrown at it. No 100% chance to reflect anything.

It would be like making an Amulet of AC+900 that would completely protect from all melee attacks.

Well then change it to ammy of magic resist or something. Because currently you're lucky if you reflect magic missile :-/

Reflect spells ammy doesn't reflect prayers... also targeted projectile spells ignore reflect spells.

What exactly does the ammy reflect...

CidNight1142 02-14-2006 07:42 AM

probably the spells of evil dievels, cyclops, etc.

upsilon 04-10-2006 09:17 AM

as of the new spell system, it doesnt seem to reflect anything. Why are these even still spawning in shops? *bump*

I still think there should be more emphasis on attacktypes. :/

Having a certain chance of reflecting spells would be interesting, but now that the counter spells are in place, I don't see a whole lot of use for a reflect spells amulet. Even if it did reflect all magic, there would still be spells that are unreflectable, as they affect an area, rather than being projectiles.

My judgement on this would simply be to remove it though. It's wasting space.
