Mythic Legends?
 

Not too long ago, there was a server known as "Mythic Legends" and went with a pirate theme. Some of you might´ve been there, but I doub tmost of you ever even heard of it.

The server died due to lack of money.


Now, the server is beeing remade and worked on since it will return to its online status in hopefull not more then 2 months. I probably could get it online right away, but concidering this is my last year in school and I dont have THAT much left - im waiting.

Its new theme is medieval / RP with alot of inspiration from Forgotten Realms games (such as Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights).


In this thread, I will show some of its progress so that I can get some comments / ideas.




First off; two snapshots of a level that I used to experiment with the tree graphics.

Always and forever, I will hate the swamp graphics on GraalOnline.

Though, to the point of this thread, nice! :):)

They can easily be replaced with new, hot ones. ;)

Why are your trees so... blocky?

I like the idea, and i played on your server a few times when it was up, the boat looked cool.
But i really dislike those trees, if your going to use a image alot of times, make sure it looks good.

There is an anime show which may give you loads of awesome ideas, its based on pirates i just totally forgot the name. Its about a kid who is a pirate but cant touch water because he is stretchy.

called "one-piece". Don't watch that for ideas, becuase you'll probably commit suicide before the show ends. Terrible. But yeah, I agree with the comments so far. The trees look..I don't know...too pixely? I do like the water, pebbles in the water, and water edges alot though.

Hah, I've seen that on Toonami once or twice.

Made some changes.


*New swamp grass.
*Detailed the trees abit and made them darker
*Added detail to the water

A bit blocky but the pixeling is somesort of 'mhk' =P

Although I was a big fan of the simplicity of the old water, the job you did on this certainly isn't bad. I'm torn. The swamp, although considerably better then the orignal tileset...is unusually square ^^ Not bad though for sure.

It looks a bit better, but making the trees darker doesn't help. Swamp, as stated, doesn't really grow in a perfect square. You shouldn't be aiming for satisfactory work, you should be aiming for amazing, and I bet obtain that aim aswell.

its not cuz i cant afford it at the moment although i really cant
its cause i dotn turn 18 till may and thats when i get a credit card
