New Graal Wiki logo

3 Attachment(s)
I got bored and made a new logo (and favicon) for the Wiki. It does not really fit the stylesheet, but it is made of vectors and that means it is awesome.

Discuss! and submit improved versions

Edit: I Am Really Bored bonus picture

Very awesome.

It'd be awesome x2 with a transparent background.

The left picture, which you are talking about, has a transparent background.

A vector is an object defined by both magnitude and direction.
Had you clicked the linked word "vector" in my original post, you would have received more useful information.

Yeah, me neither. It is mostly a quick hack and has neither an elaborate concept nor careful execution. More detailed critique would be welcome, though.

Okay, why do you guys even keep spamming this u suk lol stuff if you will not even bother to give any reasoning? This is not critique, this is not even trolling, it is plain useless, and you cannot base a discussion on that.

Well, it may be "negative" it wasn't really hostile. Or atleast not as hostile as "Don't post in my threads anymore". Regardless, he may post where he wishes.

This is a public forum, many people who browse it are capable of actually productive criticism a lot more aren't. I, personally, ignore them if their critique doesn't help. But even if it isn't productive criticism it doesn't mean it's pointless spam. You have to expect people to give their opinion's, like "Ewww".

If you can't handle that, maybe you should be turning your attention inward and not to the other members.

They are both nice. However, you must understand that the red star (Bomriket) is larger in actuality than the yellow star (Unipordum). This is the story, anyway. And, if you will carefully notice, on Graal2001, a Bomriket year (with the red star and redder colored nights) has more months. This is not because the orbit around it is further from the star itself, but rather because the star is larger by two Graal months (as a month is literally a representation of real, physical velocity).

So, is the yellow star closer to the camera and the red star is far away, behind the planet? Or did you simply not realize this? If so, they are vectors and modification should be very easy.

I enjoy your leaf avatar and your vector styling so far. Your bomy planet could use more detail, like the red trees, making the bomy-moon actually be brown and look like it is protruding, etc.

No, he must not. The forum conforms to a bunch of rules, and I am happy to know that Moonie actually enforces this, and usually takes the appropriate measures to get rid of inappopriate negativity. You just cannot get away with flaming people, and that is spam whether it is someone's opinion or not.

Both. The yellow star is supposed to be in front of the planet, hence the lighting, and the red star is supposed to be behind it, but I actually had no idea of the size relations.

Yeah, but creating an exact represenation of a whole solar system with all its astronomical distances quickly gets tricky, so I am not exactly sure how to do that. Do you have any diagrams that detail the movement of the stellar bodies in the G2k1 world?

Thank you ^^

Yes, it could. I was going for a very simple style, here, putting focus on the contrast between the blue and the green colour. This is because I was being pretty lazy. :frown:

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable.

Antago 02-10-2006 06:10 AM

Anyway, I can certainly respect your right to be lazy and its simple green style is indeed fair. Carry on, mate!

The chinese characters of the fung si yan shield don't really appear to be inscripted on them, but part of "graal wiki". I.E. make it looks like it's ON the shield and not in front of it.
